hey guys! im applying for spring 2011 and i am thinking about putting attractions as my #1 :)
however, i do not want an attraction with spiels. what should i tell my phone interviewer without making them think that im not good for attractions.

also anyone who has worked attractions before can you let me know where you worked and what your main job responsibilities were and if you enjoyed it.

--thanks kkay :yay:

If you don't want a speiling attraction, just let your interviewer know (usually they will ask if you're comfortable speiling, if you pick attractions).

I am currently in attractions. I work at the Great Movie Ride (which is one of the speiling attractions). There are many different positions there. They include greeter (the person at the entrance), stroller parking, loader (loading people onto the vehicles), tour guide (the person on the vehicle) and so on. I absolutely love being at GMR. I have so much fun here

thanks joanna! so you dont think that theyll automatically reject me for attractions when i tell them im not comfortable with long speils?
and at GMR do you switch off at all the diff positions of do you usually only do one specific job?

No, of course not. There are plenty of non-speiling attractions (more then speiling).

We rotate. We go from a vehicle to a non-speiling position (like greeter, or loading), then back to a vehicle, then so on.

I'm currently attractions at the American Idol Experience, and I love it!

I don't think there will be any problem if you tell your interviewer that you don't want a spieling ride, as there are plenty of rides that don't require spiels.

At Idol, we have a spiel, but it's only a paragraph long, and its basically just normal spiel given to welcome people in to the theatre/move all the way down the row/no eating, etc. It's not bad. :)

Hey I was just wondering about working at the AI experience. I love that show and loved the attraction. What kind of things are you required to do there? Do you ever get bored? Do you watch all the shows? I heard you get to help with the singing auditions? Do you think the role would help me at all as a music major? Sorry for all the questions haha, I'm just curious!
