Attractions You Visit Because Someone Else Wants To. . . .

My first solo trip is fast approaching and I'm going through a list of attractions I have no interest in doing this time. I usually do them because of the kids, but when I think about it, I myself have little to no interest in them. When it is all up to me, I think I will skip:

MK
Buzz Lightyear
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Astro Orbiter
Tomorrowland Speedway
Mad Tea Party
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Carrousel (just realized the app spells it with two rr's)

Epcot
None (I love everything, if only for nostalgia)

HS
Toy Story
Muppets (love the Muppets- just tired of this movie)
Star Tours (like Star Wars- just don't love this simulator)

AK
Primeval Whirl
Boneyard
Triceratops Spin

What attractions do you go on simply because someone else wants to?

For me...

MK
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
Tomorrowland Speedway
Stitch's Great Escape
It's A Small World
The Barnstormer

Epcot
Test Track (granted I would ride this if the wait was short enough, I just hate the change from the original attraction to the new one)

DHS
Muppet Vision 3D (With free time, I'd probably do it, but it's easy to skip)
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

DAK
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Primeval Whirl
Finding Nemo The Musical

If I was on a solo trip (not sure that will ever happen) it wouldn't be an attraction I would skip, it would be a park. I wouldn't go to Epcot if it was just me. We go to Epcot so DS15 can ride TT at least 4 times, so DW can go to Yorkshire County Fish Shoppe and so DS6 and DS15 can go to Mitsusoki to go shopping. I do love Soarin' - I miss the old movie - but that's not enough to make me detour from the other 3 parks.

I'm not sure I visit attractions I don't like because others want to since I usually travel with my boyfriend and we have very similar ride tastes. I do know that for me he visits Soarin' and Everest for me, although he sits them out he waits with me (but I usually try to FP them for this reason, so he doesn't have a long wait. We are both afraid of heights but I am a little less nervous than he). I know he also does Space Mountain for me but he definitely enjoys it once he's on the ride and moving!!

My SO makes us ride It's A Small World, every time we bring someone who has never been to WDW. I hate that ride. Creepy dolls singing, ::shiver:: Especially the straw children on the straw donkeys with the red glowing eyes. WTH Disney!?!?

My mother/sister are obsessed with rides like Dumbo, Astro Orbiters, and the Magic Carpets. I'll pass when I'm not with them! They don't make me dizzy, they just bore me. :faint:

:D I have a joke theory. IASW is chock full of subliminals: "Love Disney, Buy Disney, Worship Disney!" and that's one reason why we're all so crazy about it and keep coming back. I mean, I rode it when I was 8 and 49 years later I still remember that song!

We're going to DW in October and plan to assimilate DD. Yes, Disney Overlords, I remember! :worship:
