Attractions that need to be refurbished?

I'm glad to see that WDW makes such efforts to refurbish or replace attractions that have gotten older or outdated, though I am sad to see some of my old favorites like Horizons and Flights of Wonder go. I saw somewhere that Great Movie Ride may be changed to incorporate Muppets animatronics as the hosts of the ride and hollywood history through their eyes. Anyone else hear about that? What would be your take on that if it did happen? I had mixed feelings. That is one of my favorite attractions and I'm afraid to see it changed, however the muppets might bring some more life or humor into it. Also any rides you would like to see updated? One for me would be the Backlot Tour also at DS. I used to really enjoy it but it seems it has been changed alot and has lost its touch a bit w/ me.

This is a very interesting idea. There are many attractions, especially in Epcot, where an update could make a marked improvement. Unfortunately, what was once a park showcasing future innovations has become pretty dull with it's dated technology throughout Future World. Not much cutting edge stuff there today. I understand many people don't want to see change of any kind, mainly for nostalgic reasons, but Future World, by it's very nature needs to change and change with some degree of regularity. Otherwise you end up with a bunch of pavillions pretending to depict tomorrow's technology with stuff that many people have in their homes or businesses today.
