I was accepted as attractions for the college program, and it says I will be in ESPN Wide World of Sports... does anyone know what I'll be doing there? How is that an attraction?
When did you apply and when will you be in the program? Just wondering because I'm a college student thinking about applying and wondering when the dates are. Thanks!
Can't answer your question as to what you'll be doing, but I know that a lot of things that were once considered recreation are now considered attractions...don't know the reason for the switch, but that is how I ended up in mini golf...either way, I doubt they hire THAT many CPs so you'll probably have a unique experience! There were only 4 where I worked. I think working outside of the parks makes it more magical when you do visit actually..
disfamily4eva, I applied I guess mid September of 2010 for Spring Advantage 2011, and got accepted in October. I start in February but a lot of the CP's have already moved down. (I'll be there from Feb 21st-Aug 12th)
AllisonMak, Thanks! That's kind of what I figured-- just recreation. I've just never been to Wide World of Sports so I wasn't really sure what was there. and yeah, I know what you mean about visiting the parks if you don't work in one! Did you like working at the mini golf place?
Oh I will most definitely try... I'm really curious to know, but I seriously can't find anything anywhere!! I'm hoping that that's a good sign and that the people working there are having too much fun to have the time to think about it

I just want to know what kind of job I will have if my role is attractions and my location is ESPN World Wide of Sports. And what the costume looks like, haha. Can't find it!
The hub is how some cps found out where exactly they will be working at two weeks before my second program started. Apparently, there is a list on the hub where you find out where people are located at in Disney. They put the cps list about two weeks before they arrive. I don't know if they still do that though. It's also where you can see how the costume looks like for each area. The hub is amazing!

I'd figured that was the case because I was never able to find that list when I went on the hub. But, the cps who knew beforehand told me that was how they found out. Oh well, in my case, I don't want to know where I will be working at until I get there. I like surprises!
