When looking at the attractions page on disneys website....does Big Thrills = Roller coaster? Roller Coaster as in steep drops?

I am not a big roller coaster fan, but my oldest loves them... I guess this would be something her and dad have to go on... while i want behind with our youngest...hehehe

Pretty much all the e-ticket rides at DL are pretty tame. I think even Space Mountain is pretty tame, it's just dark and fast, but no steep drops. The Matterhorn is fast and has sharp turns, but no steep drops.

I would say the only ride that has steep drops that makes my stomach feel funny is California Screamin' at DCA. The second drop on that ride makes me try to pull my knees to my chest and close my eyes. :faint:

No. Some Big Thrills are rollercoasters and as PPB said are fairly tame by today's standards. But others like Indiana Jones are Soarin Over California are not rollercoasters at all. They are just major attractions.

umm..... Tower of Terror.

Been there, done that, NEVER again.

To the original poster, in Disneyland, there is no ride that goes upside down, if that helps. :)

Duh, I forgot about Tower of Terror. :rotfl:

That one really makes my stomach feel funny! :upsidedow :crazy2:

There are 4 rides at DLR that have any real 'thrill' aspects.

California Screamin'- This one is obvious. A giant, fast, steep roller coaster with big drops and a loop.

Maliboomer- never been on it because I hate midway type rides, but it a typical drop of doom ride'.

Tower of terror- the drops here, while not too extreme, definitely are thrilling and get your stomach going.

Splash Mountain- EXCELLENT RIDE(my favourite in the world), but the 50 foot plunge may be too much for some. personally, I don't mind it at all and I HATE most drop/thrill rides.

On another note, if you go to Universal, the Jurassic park ride has quite a large plunge as well.
