Attraction Photos: Look Away from the Camera?

I have many times tried to master the art of making a funny face or guesture DIRECTLY into the on-ride camera, but can't seem to get it quite right. I have deduced that one cannot look directly into the flash, this does not work.

Does anyone have any clue where to look or where most cameras are located in relation to the flash you see while riding an attraction? Any ideas are much appreciated :)

Try looking at the angle of the photo in relation to everyone's shoulders on the ride. That will tell you where the camera is. Ignore where people are looking as sometimes it is at the flash, other times it is elements within the ride that make us look in a particular direction away from the camera.

Attractions with "Ride Photos" taken of guests during the ride
(there are only a very few):

MK- Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
MK- Splash Mountain
MK- Space Mountain
MK- 7DMT- (There are also a couple of video clips taken during this ride.)

DHS- Tower of Terror (There are also a couple of video clips taken during this ride.)
DHS- Rock'nRoller Coaster

Epcot- Test Track

AK- Expedition Everest
AK- Dinosaur

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below is a list of where the photos are taken, but if you're not fully familiar with the attraction,
you still may not be able to anticipate exactly when it will occur.
Just know that there will be a bright strobe FLASH when the photo is taken.

MK- Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin-
In the room with the very large Emperor Zurg in his command pod.

MK-Splash Mountain-
Right after you crest the Big Drop.

MK-Space Mountain-
Near the beginning of the ride. First, there's a BLUE tunnel, and then
go around a corner and start the uphill climb.
The camera is where you round that corner and start going up.

MK- 7DMT-
During the biggest drop. (After the in-mine animatronics scene.)

DHS- Tower of Terror-
At ONE of the points when your elevator's doors are open at the top
outdoor view.

DHS- Rock'nRoller Coaster-
At the point of LAUNCH.

Epcot-Test Track-
Just before your car heads through the door to the outdoor run.

AK- Expedition Everest-
Right after you crest the Big Drop (after the shadow of the Yeti is seen.)

AK- Dinosaur-
Just as the Carnitaurus makes his last GRAB for you.

That's the general location of the cameras but do you know which side of the track the cameras are located. I think the OP wanted to face the camera to make a funny face or something. Every time I think I know which side to look it always turns out to be on the other side.

Not sure why the reply (#5)came out as a double reply??
