ATTN: VB LOVERS/Experts Questions for you!

Hi,

Graduating from college next may & I am planning where we will celebrate. In a month or 2 we are booking a magic cruise for 5/20 to 5/27. 1st Magic Cruise very excitied!!! BTW, paying cash! We (mom & I) have decided to go somewhere after the cruise for 4 to 5 days in a one bedroom. We were thinking VB!! Now here are my questions???

Is there enough to do for a person in a wheelchair & her mom?
Is 4 to 5 days too long for 1st trip?
How far is it from Port (ship)?
Want to make this a special trip so will we be satisfied?

I have no answers but I am going in August for 6 nights and I am worried that it will be too long of a time and I will get bored. Others on the board seem to love it, so I guess there is plenty to do and I guess a relaxing vacation is in order.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Allison!
I think four days is a good length. It's just the right amount of time to relax and re-energize. As far as what to do while at VB.... Our favorite thing is to just relax by the pool. We do take a drive into town so the women can shop. I find a place to have a beer, as I find absolutely nothing pleasurable about clothes shopping.
I am not sure how far the resort is from Port Canaveral.

We stay for 7 nights. That being said we spend a great deal of time on the beach and the sports activites they now have for teens keeps the boys happy.

The drive is not bad, less than an hour I believe.

Allison, The resort is about 1 1/2 hour drive south of the Port. Click the link for directions. As a Floridian now living in Ohio (YUCK!) I can tell you that there are many things to do if you seek them out in the Vero Beach area. Congratulations on your upcoming GRADUATION!!!!!!

We were there for four nights last year and it was perfect for us. We are only going for 3 this year and I am regretting that we aren't doing another night, but it was just not feasible this year.

For us personally I think 5 nights would be about tops unless we really spent some time away from the resort during the day doing something OTHER than just relaxing.
