The DoD and Priceline have teamed up to offer a special booking portal for US Military Active and Retired members. There are special deals offered and it is like booking with Priceline, except you get to see exactly which airline, hotel, rental car, cruise, etc. you are booking. It's not a blind booking like Priceline. There are also special perks and cancellation policies that apply to these bookings.

I thought this was worth a share! The only downside I can see is that, like Priceline, the hotel rooms have a limit of 2 people per room. Not sure if there is a way around that.

Despite being a veteran, I am not eligible. National Guard and Reserves must be eligible for retirement benefits to qualify.

Thanks for posting this. Off to read up on it now.............

I was verified by the website and browsed some places I have used in the past located in Kissimmee. The "exclusive deals" were attractive. The info box covers all the stuff like rates, fees, etc.

I will add this site to my "toolbox" of resources.

Nevermind. Ignore my post. I skipped over the article about it somehow at first.

This was shaping up to be a great deal for my South Carolina spring break trip...until I got to the booking section and the fees were greater than the room cost.

Interestingly not accessable from inside a .mil domain network....... I will have to read it when I get to starbucks.

I wanted to provide some more information about this new resource.

++Be careful and read the fine print++

My situation is unique but I wanted to share my results:
Holiday Inn Express Savannah Georgia a few days of Thanksgiving week 2019.

--The Mil/Priceline price was higher than my direct booking price and was Non Refundable
--The Direct booking on the IHG (Holiday Inn Express brand) website using the Govt/Mil rate was a good bit less and is refundable if cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival.

Be sure to do you homework. I am sure that the Mil/Priceline site has many good deals, but do not neglect to check around on other sites as well.
