Attire....Costumes

I've been to Disney quite a few times & we're going again this May. I'm super excited because a friend of ours is coming along & she is a total geek like me & I get to indulge my dorky obsessive side in a way I never do with my precious Husband. One thing we want to do is "dress" for the occasion.

I know that adults are not allowed to wear costumes, but I was wondering if any of you had pushed the boundaries at all-more than just wearing the general color scheme of a character. Like I have a yellow, above the knee, sundress I am thinking of adding some pieces to, to make similar to Mulan's (see photo-for general idea)

I am a Caucasian with really short hair so I look nothing like her-do you think I'll be asked to change-or is it different enough that I could get away with it?!

That's perfectly fine. It's full on lavish outfits/dresses that are not allowed

Thanks-I read about the bounding but it seemed to mostly be describing people wearing a characters color scheme so I wasn't sure where the boundary was!

He would have to first stop at Epcot and go inside one of the phone booths within England

Seems that if Superman were to wear a Clark Kent costume, that would violate the rule as well.

The main way they determine it, if you act like you are the character. Don't give autographs, pose for photos, etc.

Yeah. I went to Disneyland in a purple tank top & green fish scale leggings. Also had an Ariel bow in my hair. Never got questioned, and even got called Princess Ariel by a few cast members.
