Ok I am getting motivated. I not only bought the pad but wrote a packing list (sort of). It's a beginning. Also, did a little shopping with my son. Delayed today because my daughter had 2 impacted wisdom teeth extracted. I'm really getting excited now and starting to enjoy the planning and excitement.

Srewblue and Callahanjulie- How is your trip planning coming along? See everyone in 46 days! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

thedisneymom- sorry I missed this post - you and I have switched roles suddenly. We bought this new business, and I have NO TIME to play on the DIS boards. I should kill my DH for that! Hope your DD is doing better today. I'm home with my DD -allergies and ear infection:( But maybe we can have some mommy/Sadie time and maybe even a nap! I need to catch up on my planning though. I showed DS my countdown clock last night. He said "I can't believe it's only a month and 1/2. We really are going!" As he would say, "DUH!" We've been booked since Jan. 2002, so they kind of put it out of their minds I guess.

If you have no time to play then you really are going to have a great time on the cruise. I never even considered myself a cruise person. I was hooked on the parks . We did 12 days every summer. My family convinced me to try the 4 day last year to break the ice. Now I'm cruise crazy! Everyday when I need to unwind a bit I check the boards or look at someone's pictures. More importantly, I read the menus on Barb and Tony's site. You can never read about desserts too many times. I can't wait to see the the expression of pure awe on your face during the sailaway party. Don't worry about packing -2 days before throw some clothes in a bag and have a terrific time. Start getting psyched again ! It is going to be sooo cool!!!! :bounce:

I have cruised once before but nothing so spectacular. Sail away was from New Orleans after dark in January. You could see nothing but a few oil rigs. My wish (pixie dust please) is to have our sailaway escorted by Dolphins. That would be so perfect. Maybe even some very quick manatees! LOL. Now that would make it special! Can I bring my dessert to our DIS meet? :p I bet you're picturing me as at least 400 lbs. Not quite there yet, but I'm going to put off weighing for a least a month after I get home!!! Maybe you're right about that packing thing. Just a few MuMu 's (sp)! I'll just go Lilo Style and pig out!

Ok girls- I am starting to get so excited- did you see the post where they said fireworks on the 4th!!! We only have a couple more days of school and we are out for the summer- leaving on a trip next Wednesday for a week- see you soon.....

I know ! I know! I'm excited about the fireworks too. I can just imagine a Castaway Cay day and fireworks that night. Can't get any better. OK Palo that night at sunset. AAAHHHHHHHH! Can't wait to meet all of you.43 more days!

Callahanjulie- So where are you off to next week? Have fun. Think about High Tea. I saw your wish list and it made me smile. ;)

If they do fireworks on the 4th I would be thrilled. We just got back from New Orleans (think test run) and the construction on interstate 10 was really quite frustrating. We found ourselves totally stopped sometimes or just crawling along.

We have -
1. Paid our money
2. Advance booked excursions
3. Pre-ressied (is that a correct term) Palo brunch
4. Did a dry run to New Orleans to see how well I will travel (health issues) and everything worked out

Now -
1. Look at husband's clothes and beg him to buy new swimsuit, tennis shoes etc. He prefers the absolutely lived in look.
2. Get DH measured for tux. He agreed but only because it means less to lug onto the ship and because he is a sucker for a pretty smile and sigh.
3. Review DD wardrobe and see what she needs.
4. Clear out staging area so all the Disney trip "stuff" I've been keeping in a box can be laid out and we can start to pack.
5. Check out place to board cats
6. Create countdown calendar
7. Stay calm!

We are off to Missouri to see my Grandmother and to attend my cousins wedding over Memorial Day week. This will be the first time in 6 years that I haven't opted to work in the summer and I am looking forward to actually having time to do whatever my little heart desires!!
I can't wait either- fun fun fun
:bounce:

Hey Girls! I missed the post about the fireworks. That is great. I was really bummed about missing them. Missed any fireworks last year, in the woods and didn't see any. But I was a MK the year before! Stewblue, glad everything is a go for you!

So nice to hear from everyone. Glad to hear you have started Stewblue! I am planning on doing everything after my daughter graduates on the 14th. Too much to do for that first. Enjoy your weekend! :D

Hey girls - there's another Dis'er going on the 28th! DizzyLaura added herself to cruise list on the 17th. I pm'ed her with the dis meet info. Don't know how many she's got with her, but we're really growing huh? I can't wait to meet you all in person.

Hi there!
Samsma- You would be sooo proud of me. Today I unpacked ALL my son's bags and finished shopping for him. I decided to rent him a tux for formal night. This will probably be our only cruise where my daughter will have a gown so I'm going to go for it. Luckily he'll try anything so no fights. i've started smiling now because it is getting close and now seems so real. I'm going kennel shopping for this thing trying to pass himself off as a dog. I think they lied and he's part wolf not poodle. :p Can't wait to meet you too! Have a lovely week.

Kennel shopping is also on my list but for 3 cats. Still doing last minute shopping and planning. We're driving to the Port from Houston, TX so we're also trying to pick the best route. By the time we get to the ship, I will probably have forgotten how to walk!

So nice to hear from you. I think we could take another cruise for what price the kennels charge. I have to go to Manhattan so he's not kept in a cage all day. They also do outside walks. The dog gets better treatment than I do!

Try to take some breaks while driving and stretch.
I'll try to save a chair for you if there are any by the sailaway party area. Is standing for awhile a problem for you. Let us know- Samsma and I will think of something. Till then. :D

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited. I cant believe its so close to cruise time. I am the big Disney fan in my family. I have made a checklist and have bought some new things for the cruise. I am also dieting like crazy. I still need to book excursions (any suggestions for little ones??) Stewblue, how do you pre-reserve brunch at Palo's? My group (my mom, sis, hubby and I) would all like to do the champagne brunch! Well, hopefully I'll get to meet you all on the cruise! 36 Days!

Dizzy Laura

Hey everyone- can you believe that time is going by so fast- usually time flys when you are having fun- NOT while you are waiting on something!! I can tell that this cruise is going to be awesome. I made my kennel ressies yesterday for our Yorkie- Chloe- that is going to be the hardest thing for us though- I hope it doesn't put a damper on the beginning of our trip- this will be the 1st year we have had a dog to leave.
Today is the last day of school- and as soon as the kids leave- we are off to Paradise Grill. It is a wonderful beach restuant with a waterfall and pool- can you tell we are happy to be out!!!
Welcome Lizzy- to make pre-ressies at Palo- you have to be booked in a cat 1-3!
Looking forward to meeting you girls!!

Is it really true? Fireworks on Castaway Cay on the 4th? The only thing that could make my wedding day better would be fireworks, so is it REALLY true! My in-laws (OK soon to be) went last year same time and they didn't have any, but we weren't sure if that was a 9-11 thing or not. So if you are going to be on Castaway Cay July 4th, and you happen to see a girl in a wedding gown, make sure to say hi to me! And I hope you are right about the fire works!

Hi . We're meeting during the sailaway party on deck 10 overlooking the Goofy pool- port side. Come join us! :D

It was 80 degrees today and really made me think of vacation. I bought the suntan lotion- I am so on a roll! :p

Jenny- Are you the bride to be in the Drummincoop party or are we lucky and having 2 newlyweds? How cool to be getting married Disney style

Dizzylaura- How old are your children? Mine are 14 and 20 but others Dis'ers have younger children.

I am not the same bride. Does that mean there are 2 for sures on this cruise? Neat! It will be me, hubby, DS 5, niece 3.5, brother, sister, mom, dad, mom in law, dad in law

This cruise is a combination family reunion / 25th wedding anniversary (ours) and 50th wedding anniversary (my parents) so we booked a category 3 cabin. One of the perks (that you definitely pay for) is to be able to make your Palo reservations early so we booked brunch.

For excursions, my husband is going on the Atlantis submarine. He is helping to restore a WWII submarine in Galveston Texas so he is nuts about any type of submarine.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and I cannot believe it is all so close to actually happening!!!!!!!!!!!!
