I read the Kindle forums and there is frequently a request for a list of everyone's favorite book.

The book Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is frequently mentioned.

I havent read it....and I'm not recommending it....just letting you know that as of right now.....IT'S FREE!!!!

Thanks, Kevin! I always download the freebies, even if I don't have time to read them currently. It's nice to have a lot of books waiting in the wings, especially when the price is right. This one is a book I've heard about a lot, so that's even better!

An excellent book!!! And now I can put it on my Kindle to reread!!!

But beware, you are gonna want to read the rest of the series if you start the first one so you will be occupied for quite awhile. Jaime Fraser is worth it though.

I agree! I got this book on my Kindle based on recommendations on the Community Board, and read right through all of the series.

It's almost time for me to revisit the beginning of the story.

For me it is one of those books where I laughed, I cried, etc. I agree with others that you'll want to run out and buy the next book when you finish the first (assuming you like it of course ).

Another Outlander fan here. You will get hooked. Pace yourself. These books are long, but I zipped through them. Book 8 won't be out for a couple years.

DisneyKevin - THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!! Outlander is my absolute favorite book of all time. I've read the entire series but Outlander stole my heart from the very beginning. I've just gone to Amazon and downloaded the book to my new phone. You have made my day, heck possibly my entire month!

Just checked my phone - the book downloaded. Now while we're flying to FL in January I can immerse myself in my book and not worry about flying!
