Hello,
Last night I was trading for a stitch hat with a community leader and i had to give all my super rare furinture first because everything else would not fit...Knowing he was a community leader I trusted him and I accepted then he did too...I sent a trade again to put in my other stuff and to get the stitch hat.. He said "your safe" then deletes me off friends list and ran...I am not saying not to trust all community leader i can easily trust Dara and and green and small slim..I am just trying to remind you all from not getting scamed and hurt like me i am thinking about quitting VMK but what is the use it is just a game! So next time you think you can trust think of my story..My family is going down to WDW and we are hoping to find someone to help me get my stuff back...Thanks for reading this brief message.

I am sorry this happened to you. I hope you got screens shots and maybe you have a chance of getting your stuff back.

Please say that you reported this CL_. We need to weed out the bad CL_'s as often as possible. I'm sorry you were taken advantage of.

The other day someone told me they were scammed by someone saying they were CL_"SoAndSo", but weren't on their CL_ avatar - run away from anyone who says things like that because that's just a scam.

If anyone ever needs trade help - I'm in the fireworks lobby or in my room most of the time. If you can't find me, I'm most likely not online.

Thanks for for your confidence in slim(ink). I told him that trust from other players is of the up most importance. As others said there will always be bad and good. Is there still a way to leave feedback on a leader? I know there use to be. If you ever need help in the future please look ink up and if you can not find him look for me Acebugdozer(I'm his mom) and I will get you to him. Wow I am just disgusted with this CL taking advantage of you. I have been trying since day one to be a CL and would never ever do that. I think that along with the answers to the questions they ask; you should have at least 5 Cl in good standing approve your application lol. Problem is there could be five others who are scammers together. But I think a CL needs to be treated more harshly for scams. Not just have there CL taken away. This a a major betrayal of trust. I hope you get yoru stuff back.

Like has been said before, not ALL CLs are bad eggs, but it is a good rule of thumb to not "trust" anyone you dont know, and not trust most of the people you know too.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I think that VMK endorses a player by making them a CL and theft of items involving a CL should be immediately reviewed and fixed. And the CL should be immediately stripped of his/her title.


I am usually critical of players who get their stuff "stolen" when making trades for very rare items without the use of a CL. So I'm disgusted that this would happen to you.


Please report this incident to VMK asap.

Can you still remember the person's name? If so, do be sure to report him immediately and you should get your stuff back! It isn't fair that there is corruption in VMK.

No, not all CL's are bad, but unfortunately, stories like this only fuel the anti-CL players. Just because someone has the CL_ before their title, doesn't make them any better than any other player. The sooner this is realized, the better we will all be.

That is in the drop down under the contact us still and you do need to report that CL. They need to lose their title and be banned as has been said. And I also agree that people need to stop seeing CLs as being better then the other players. Sorry that happened to you but please report it if you haven't yet.

I agree with what's been said by other leaders. I did use a CL for a trade
I made for Sparrow, but it was a leader I've known for a long time. She held
Sparrow while the I traded my items to the other player. Then the CL
traded me the Sparrow when I was done.

Yes, there's still a risk. And when I became a leader, the very same night
two players came into my room to trade Sparrow pants. I probably took a
a huge risk helping them, but the trade ended well.

I might have to rethink doing that in the future, based on what Greens said.

I don't think this is true at all. I think no matter how many items can be traded it would be happening still. With the more windows allowed the more items that can be scammed from someone then. Just my 2 cents on that. Really the only way to avoid them is either not trade at all with anyone, trade only with those you really, REALLY know (and even then it seems it isn't always a trusted thing), release more of the "rare" items so the scammers won't want them so badly anymore, and/or make sure the other person trades you part of whatever as well so its half and half. Really no matter what there will be scammers and the only thing to do is report them. With screenshots you have proof of what was said/done so that you can send it to them as well.
