Attention: Dec 8 - Dec 12 Travelers

I was asked to make sure I posted this in this thread for all to see.


I read about this while gathering some information from Operation Shoe Box ( http://www.operationshoebox.com/ ) and I wanted to let those who will be at the world know that from Dec 8 - Dec 12th MANY of our injured US Service men will be in WDW attending the The First Annual Road to Recovery Conference and Tribute conference. This conference will be a way for the soldiers to come together, form a network and receive lots of information on what options and help are available for them as well as have the opportunity to experience the magic with their families.

Please if you are in the parks during these days and run into one of our brave soldiers PLEASE take the time to thank them for all they have done for us, our country and the world.. As the sister, aunt and daughter of military service men and women I know how much a thank you means!!!

As the wife of an Army vet, I will be sure to pass along all our thanks if I run into any of our soldiers while at WDW. Thanks for posting this, I think it's important that we let them know we haven't forgotten about them.

My wife and I will be at WDW that weekend. Thanks for the heads up.

Here's my plan:

When I see a vet and his or her family at breakfast, lunch or dinner, it will be my treat. If just a few of us do the same it will (in the words of Dickens) "use little of our mortal money," but show them how much we appreciate their efforts on our behalf.

If you're short of cash, go out of your way to be helpful. Directions, help, whatever. Show you care.

How wonderful! Thanks for the heads up! As a daughter of a Navy Vet, you bet that me and my family will thank all of those bravely serving our country. We appreciate all the sacrifices they have made so very much.
