i just like their opinions better...im sorry its always against you but you and i have different opinions and i just agree with ones different from your thoughts because i have different feelings about things...we are totally opposite and have nothing in common...so what if i like other peoples ideas better...i just dont always agree with what you think...im sorry.

hmmmmm, i find it strange that you can state your opinion and will jump all over people if they judge it but yet when you judge someone elses opinion, you find it perfectly fine and that you did the right thing

Billy, normally we tend to agree, but this has been an ongoing problem for quite a while. Its gotten to the point of just attacking each other. Honestly I think it needed to be brought out into the open.

report what? getting the thread closed? sure! bcuz no offense to irishtink, but this thread has turned into a "fight" and it shouldnt be allowed. im sorry if i came up wrong...we just dont all agree with everythign somebody says... but we turned an innocent thread about the "favorites or the best" on the dis into a battle on if someone agrees with others or not...

Listen, sure it's okay to start a thread that resembles the idea of another...technically...however, isn't it only being considerate to respect someone's own ideas? If a thread such as this was already created...isn't it only descent to NOT create another thread of the same idea? There is more to the DIS than is said in the guidelines and the in bold print...but isn't it just as important to follow rules of courtesy and follow the underlining rules of respect, kindness, and dignity?

The OP of this "original" idea (I know the first thread said he had seen the idea on another board) said he could not do more categories and that is more than completely understandable as some people do have lives and cannot devote 24 hours in a day to a specific thread (slight exaggeration there but you get my point lol). Is it right to start another thread including all the things people said they wanted but couldn't have on another thread? Isn't that kind of spiteful? It's like saying..."okay you guys, I'll make an even better thread!!" I'm sorry, but maybe that is just me being too respectful on a board.

Here I am, starting to put my nose where it doesn't belong...

I think that this is getting way out of hand. I don't think she was trying to be disrespectful, Mike. If she wanted to have her own thread about different categories, and run it a different way, then it is a free country with freedom of speech. This is an open Teen Board. And VolleyballQT (Sorry, I'm drawing a blank on your name!), I think that Mike was offended and felt that you were personally trying to spite him by making another thread. I think that often, this is why school or whatever do not do "favorites" things because people are human, and do tend to feel left out. It often leads to unneccessary controversy between ordinarily agreeable, kinda people. I also think you both have very strong, opinionated personalities, and that you have your own agendas and ideas. I think that this thread has turned into a battle of "pick a side." This isn't right, and this isn't the spirit of Disney that brings us all together. That is why we are here, for our common love of what is - to many of us - the most important thing.

So in conclusion, I think everyone needs to take a step back, realize what is going on, and take steps to solve it peacefully.

what's the obsession with awards at the moment?

i mean why do we have to catagorise (sp?) people into different catagories, oh she's "nicest", he's the "funniest". why can't we all celebrate that we all have different qualities!! sorry this is just my opinion. i mean this is a forum-how you suppose to know who's the "cutest" by some words on a screen? you don't know their facial expression, their tone of voice or anything. this is just a forum for people to talk about disney and yeah sometimes some random stuff as well but i think having our own awards ceremony is going way too far!!

sorry this is not a personal attack on anyone and sorry if i've offended anyone but this is just my personal opinion
