On our last trip to the world (May, 05) we could not find any decent pizza. We used to love the pizza served at the CBR, but it wasn't any better than the frozen variety when we tried it last. We do have an ADR for Mama Melroses for our November trip. My family loves to wind up the day with a pizza snack. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We haven't found great pizza at WDW. Used to think Pizza Planet in MGM was passable, but it was yucky the last two times we ate there.

We have high hopes for the Spoodles Pizza window at the Boardwalk, where we're staying.

Now, if you want a different type of "pizza" try the BBQ chicken flatbread at Jiko, or the bacon, cream tart (like a flatbread at Chefs de France.

But if you want the old cheeze and tomato kind of pizza - Good Luck!

Spoodles pizza is pretty good. But the pizza in the parks is nothing special. Mama Melroses' pizza is more of a specialty type pizza which is good if you like that type. :tink: :tink:

Pepper Market has the best "I just want pizza, dangit!" pizza in the World. It's not specialty, it's not fancy, it's just a pizza.

I too thought the pizza at Pizza Planet was very poor.

We like the Quattro Formaggi pizza at Portabello Yacht Club. The crust is thin & crispy & lovely, and the blue cheese tastes so nice :)

Cheers!

As someone from the NYC metro area, i can get good pizza just by going in any direction for 2 miles or less, lol. That being said though, i don't think that i have ever had anything on that par at WDW. I hear Spoodles is the closest.
We went into it knowing we wouldnt find good pizza. We ate pizza at the Mara last time and expected it to be exactly what it was. Good grocery store frozen pizza. I figure, if i want a good pizza i'll just wait til we get back home.

I read good reviews for the "Tony's pizza" at Tony's in MK.

Also read a good review of the pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express.

We're hoping to try both.

We like to order pizza delivered from Giordano's when we are there. Delicious Chicago-style deeeeeeep dish pie. It's under $20 I think... and one pie will feed an army. In fact, don't bet on being able to eat more than a slice.

Yummmmmmm :sunny:

There are serveral off-site pizza places that will deliver to a Disney resort.

We found AWESOME Pizza at Wolfgang pucks at Downtown Disney!!! Oooooh it was to DIE for!!!
Pizza Planet on the other hand... Id almost rather eat dogfood.

Mama Melrose has Great Pizza. We make a point of eating there frequently. Even without the Fantazimic package.

Wolfgang Puck's also has fine Pizza, but, it isn't in a park, it's Downtown Disney.

For some unknown reason, I also like Pizzafari at AK

I also agree that the pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express is yummy!

This is a picture of the pizza that we ordered from room service at the BWI. I believe that is was from Spoodles. It was very good - the crust was thick and firm (but not hard), there were lots of toppings, sauce and cheese. It arrived at the room piping hot and fresh.

How about asking at the front desk. I would think alot of CM's live somewhat nearby and would be able to recommend them. (heck maybe they even get lunch delivered there!!)

PrincessTrisha,

Thanks for attaching the picture - the pizza looks great. I hope it is from Spoodles!!

Good idea JustPlainGoofy - I will ask a CM. Since we are looking for a snack versus a sit down dinner, I hope to find something close to the Dolphin.

:thumbsup2 DH and I just love Wolfgang Puck Express. We make a special trip to go downtown just for their pizza. Grab a salad and you have a meal.

:thumbsup2 Pizzafari at Ak is awesome. And if your staying at Boardwalk or close try Spoodles.
