Hello everyone,
I have to pass along a bit of bad news...the Pin Trading book has now been removed from the cart. There are many reasons that this has come to be....
1. As many of you know we have had some people forget to put pins back for the ones they traded. This was the reason for going to only one book a while back, and is to blame now as well. No matter which tactic we employed, everytime you would turn around, someone was stealing something. In the last month this was reaching alarming levels.
2. The book became the clearing house for half of Orlando's 99cent 2000 Flex pin, and an array of the $1.97 K-Mart special. Don't get me wrong, they are all "Disney" pins, but when people come and trade 30 of these at a time, its gets a bit rediculous. The pin station has in excess if 1000 of these on hand at any time. Still trying to figure out what to do with them all.
3. Last week we had a certain two people who frequently raid the book come along, and were hitting the lanyards as well. They normally average "trading" 50 of the afore mentioned pins at a time. I cannot go into details of the situation, but they got a bit aggressive with a Cast Member last week, who told them they could only trade one of the same pins with her. This is the point where a line was crossed. Since we have now confirmed that they are running a business off of us, we have started to take measures to stop this, which step No. one was to remove the ease of their "trading" tactics.
I want to appologize to all of you who have enjoyed this for so long, I only hope that you understand why these measures had to take place. I also want you to know that all CMs should have lanyards, and we are doing our best to make sure that the lanyards always have a good mix of pins. I hope that now you can still make some great CM trades with the rest of the Cast! As always, let me know any concerns, and I will do my best to take care of it.
On a better note....we should have two extra tables this week!! WoooHooo. This is a big victory for us.
As many of you know, I will not be there for the next 2 weeks, because I am (shameless plug alert) doing a production of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
We will be running Fri and Sat nights at 8pm
