Attention all 10/12/03 4night Wonder Cruisers! Sign in here!

I usually always get frozen or specialty drinks and they are about $4-$5. Tip is included, but I usually round the bill up (i.e. if it is $4.79 with tip, I round it up to $5). To me, it just makes it easier.

I usually plan for a few drinks a day....... :p

Wow Kamgen only 8 lbs to your goal weight, I am so jealous. Good for you, your pictures are great:Pinkbounc

I will plan a few a day. And bring some small bottles to mix in my room for dh & I.

I was writing down my plans again last night and question the day & time for
Palo
and Suriel Spa
Do we just do Nassau? so the best day would be our day at sea??? we only plan to do our own tour & shopping in Nassau so maybe that afternoon?
And why doesn't the fitness room open before 7? for us w/ toddlers who rise at the break of dawn no matter what time they go to bed I need to get in there early. Do many people do the promenade walking?

Counting down:bounce:

We'll be on the 10/12 also! Geez, I haven't posted on the boards for months, so I've been out of touch for a while. It took me a long time to read all of these pages in this thread!

It'll be our second Wonder cruise. Me, DH, DS1 (10), and DS2 (8). Cat 10 on Deck 7. Coming in on Fri night, Blizzard Beach on Sat (if the weather's good), cruise, MNSSHP, off-site until return home on Sunday.

We actually had the 10/12 and the 10/19 cruises booked, but we just decided on the 10/12. We had been waiting (and waiting...) for the school calendar to come out. Our county's schools have a week of three half-days and two teacher days every year in mid-October, so we wanted to go when the kids would only miss three half-days of school........and 10/12 it is!

We're booked with DU. I remember receiving an email from DU about receiving a little gift in our cabin if the number of DU bookings for our cruise was something like 8 or more. There was a website you could check. Anyone know what that site is? Also, isn't there a site where you can see how booked the sailing is?

This week I've been busy booking and rebooking our rental car. We'll just take a car for the week plus pay for parking at the port. Right now I've got a National EA car for $176 total (including fees). The price seems to drop daily by a few bucks, so I rebook it daily. Time consuming, but so far I've saved $35.

Looking so forward to the cruise and meeting everyone!

Lynne

Welcome to our group Lynne!!!! Looks like there will be lots of kids in this group! :)

We are doing the 4night, MNSSHP, EPCOT, and then the 7night on Oct 18! We are way too excited! LOL! :)

MeMe- We always do Nassau on our own. We just walk around, shop, etc...then get back on the ship and enjoy the pool, etc....
You can arrange to do the Surial on Nassau day...first thing in the morning or later in the day..or you can do it on the sea day or CC day...sometimes the spa runs specials if you do treatments on port days. :)

As for working out...I did the Powerwalk last cruise a few times and loved it. Walking outside early in the morning is wonderful. I find those walks so much more enjoyable!! I plan to get up and walk this cruise too! :)

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Kamy,

If you give all of your tips, there will be no Surial time open for you and I. Shut up!!!

Oooohhhh, you're right....

Okay everyone...you should do the Surial during dinner...yeah, no one goes to dinner.... LOL! ;)

Looks like our li'l ol' boat is gonna be full! I booked our cruise quite some time ago and have an early booking price. I periodically price out the same cruise to make myself feel good about booking so early...and I've watched the price go up and up. Well, this week I checked on both Disney's site and cruise-locator.com to find that there are only a few Cat 4's left. In fact, on cruise-locator.com, I selected each of the 6 or so cabins listed, and each one came back "unavailable". After checking the last of the listed cabins, the system came back with "cruise unavailable."

Lookin' full!

Lynne

Lynne- Sounds good to me! The ship is so huge, crowds are usually never a problem anyway! :)
Hopefully there will be some folks that enjoy the adult night life! Nothing is worse than empty clubs and boring parties at night! The stuff is so fun.... the more the merrier! :)

I am ready.....let's go! :)

A full ship sounds good to me! Let's invite everyone back to Kamy's stateroom for a party! ;)

Sure...those Cat 10's are so spacious...
hey you...don't step on my towel animal! LOL!!! :)

Hi All you Fellow 10/12 Wonder cruisers. I, my DH35, GM64, DD9, DS4 will be joining you on this fabulous voyage in 2 cat 8 cabins. We have cabins 7506 and 7508. Is there anyone out there in cabin 7504 that would be willing to trade so we can have 7506 and 7504 connecting? I'm sure we could arrange a small incentive like a nice gift basket to help make this happen...

Anyway, we live in Arizona and the kids have a full week off school for "fall break". Post cruise we will be heading to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal for another 2 days/nights of fun.

I thank you all for the many outstanding tips and informative trip reports. The amount of information available is incredible - I wish I had this type of info for previous vacations to Turks Beaches and various Club Meds.

One question for the experienced cruisers, we are interested in some beach time in Nassua, but don't necessarily want the time and expense of visiting Atlantis or Blue Lagoon. Is there a beach that can be walked to from the Boat or cheap cab - so that the kids can have an hour to two to swim and make sand castles while in port?

Also - any fitness buffs out there who will be joining me for deck walks and aerobics classes?

About 6 weeks and counting...
Cathy

Hello folks. Checking back in and counting down. I am keeping a good thought here because rumor is my boyfriend's ship may go back to the Gulf for four more months, leaving in September or October. He was already there for five months this year so please send some good vibes that it doesn't happen! I don't want to miss out on meeting all of you!!!

Cathy- Welcome to the group! Can't wait to meet all of you and hope you will join us at the sailaway party!!! :)

I will be doing the morning aerobic/walking classes too! I would love the company!! I will do whatever is around 8am...I want to get an early start. I did the Power Walk last cruise and loved it...so that is a good choice...should be fun! :)

We usually only shop and stuff in Nassau since we get an entire beach day at CC...so maybe someone else can answer that.
Glad you are here! :)

tessa-good vibes and pixie dust to you!! Hope your boyfriend stays home...

HI Cathy:

I can't answer any of your questions but wanted to welcome you to the group. I look forward to meeting you and your family.

Well, my first grader came home from school this week and informed me that "holding his hand on the way to school is not cool". So now I just bear hug him all the way to his classroom. He looked up at me the other day and asked, "Why do I have to have a crazy mother?" I am seeing years of therapy in his future.

A big problem arose this week. Our garbage disposal broke and there was water leaking everywhere. However, don't worry. We didn't have to dip into the cruise booze money. Nope, my wonderful husband got out the duct tape and yes, it is not leaking anymore. There is something so sexy about a man with a roll of duct tape....or is that just me?

Finally, my birthday month is coming up. Yes, I don't have a birthday, I have a birthday month. So I wanted you all to know that I am accepting cash this year. I prefer 50's but anything you want to send me will be freely accepted.

That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Well, September is my bday month too!!!!!
I will accept Disney Dollars...I think they come in large denominations! :)

Rose - Now tell the truth, is it the duct tape, or is it the whole "plumber's crack" thing that is sexy?

So happy that you didn't disrupt the drinking fund. I'm thirsty.

I'm getting more excited by the day. My father in-law has agreed to babysit whenever we want, YEAH, party time:Pinkbounc

I've been thinking about ordering a gift basket or something for our room, dh's b-day and my in-laws room. Has anyone tried this and is it worth the $$$?

Gift baskets...well, if you ask anyone on the DIS, they will most likely rave about Shirley at The Perfect Gift!!!!
You may want to check her website
http://www.theperfectgift.cc/

and call her...she is willing to cater to anything you want!!!

Oh no you don't, Kamy and Rose! No no no no no! September is MY birthday month. It's a '0' birthday for me, so all giftsofalifetime and monetary donations are to go to me. Me me me me me!

Lynne

Lynne: Don't make me body slam you for the diamonds and cash. I will do what I have to get my share. What '0' birthday is it for you? I turned 40 last year.

I guess we can all share the month of September for our birthdays. Are you guys a Virgo or Libra? I am a Virgo....perfect and virginal ( coughing uncontrollably).
