Attention to all AAA Members!! I'm hoping you can answer a question for me. I'm planning a trip to Disneyland in July of 2007. Through Disney.com I put in three nights at the Disneyland hotel with two days in both parks for three adults and one infant. The total comes to just under $1500. This includes vacation insurance, but NOT airfare due to the fact my family and I always fly Southwest. My question is, if this same package was purchased through AAA, what would the price difference be? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :sunny:

Disney on-line isn't taking any reservations for 2007 yet. I heard they didn't set the prices until the Fall. Are you sure you put July "2007" and not "2006" :confused3 I assume CAA will only set their prices when Disney releases theirs.

I did put in prices for July of 2006 thinking the price won't change by THAT much a year later. I just wanted to get a rough estimate of what I may be spending next year, but thanks for asking. :goodvibes

Our family of 4, 3 adults and one 16 year old, are going to DL June 25-30, 06 (5 nights at the DL hotel), with three 5 day park hopper passes. (my husband has an annual pass) This is still value season and our total is 1,586.00. I like the AAA package because of the unlimited fast pass benefit. Don't know what it will be like in 2007 but hope this helps a little.

If you book through AAA instead of disneyland.com, the price of your park tickets is the same, but the hotel price gets discounted. I don't know how much it is, but approximately 10% they say. We did 3 nights at the DLH and saved about $100 (approx. $1000 vs $1100). But there are other perks, such as the enhanced fast pass and preferred seating at some of the shows in DCA.

I've heard that if you don't go the package route, the way to save the most money is to purchase the tickets on-line at Disney, but call them direct for the room and ask for the AAA discount. You can get that discount when booking the rooms directly with Disney by telephone, not online.

So, the original quote from the poster would have an additional discount from Disney if the room bookings were phoned in rather than online. You may want to give a call to see what the current AAA discount for room-only are :thumbsup2

I had a quote from WDTC for 4 nights at the DLH and 5 day park hoppers. When I called AAA to get their quote (really just thinking about enhanced FP) they beat Disney's price by a few hundred dollars. I was thrilled, and we leave a week from tomorrow!

Why not go online at AAA and do the same thing get a quote? To get the special Fastpass you need to do hotel+room. They can give you an online quote - but be aware the first quote you see will not have tax - so add 10% to approximate or hit the purchase and get total price, you can still back out. This way you get an actual to apples comparison.
