We were at WDW last year. Our plans for 12/31 were to go to AK in the morning and do the Safari, Kali and Bug 3d...then head over to Blizzard Beach. We knew that the parks that stay open until midnight would be packed, which we wanted to avoid and we were leaving for the long drive home at 4am on 1/1.
We stayed at the Dolphin...We ended up going over to Epcot for EMH (Yikes 7:00 am) to hit MS and TT one last time. We hoofed it from Int Gateway over FP'd MS, rode TT and then walked on with our FP to MS...When we came out of MS, the line was already 300 minutes long (how is that possible!) I saw a couple frantic looking for their child, It's not someplace I'd like to be with a group or small children, no way you could all stay together...The park was packed it was about 7:45 am. We headed back over to the Dolphin, my sister was there with my son and her step-daughter, they weren't up to heading over to Epcot with me and my daugher and 2 nephews....She said that there were banners already going across the TV screen saying that MK and Epcot were at capacity. It was probably 8:15ish......
We went with our plan and drover over to AK was practically empty...we rode the rides we wanted and were over to BB by 11:00 to spend the rest of the day there...Crowds weren't bad there either, considering it was 83 degrees.
We then went back to Dolphin had dinner at Tubbies and then wandered around the boardwalk until around 10:00pm.
We enjoyed our NYE.....If going to Epcot or MK...GET THERE EARLY!
