Attendance Levels for DVC?

Hi! I'm a new DVC member...Can anyone share the attendance levels for DVC? I've read several times here the peak times at DVC is different from the Disney Hotels and parks. Thanks!

One of the peak times for DVC that is different is the first two weeks of December. While "value" season for the resorts, this is heavily booked by DVC members and many people are only able to book their home resorts.

keep in mind that DVC typically runs at 90-95% occupancy, so what we are talking about is not so much attendance as ability to book in advance.

during the christmas season for all resorts (and especially a smaller resort like VWL)...during F&W for the epcot resorts (BCV/BWV)...you really need to use your 11 month advantage ("window") to book stays during these periods. (this is also true of certain room types in limited supply...standard view rooms at BWV, or value or concierge rooms at AKV can be extremely tough to book if you are not booking 10-11 months ahead.)

other time periods will have more availability during the 7 month window or even closer in...so it's easier to try other ("non-home") resorts.

We have found it difficult to get into DVC resorts in October, esp. during F&W festival. We are happy to have BWV points as well, so we can book a boardwalk view or sometimes a standard view room. These book up really fast. Good luck!
