I'm hoping this is a good place to post this question!!

I'm planning a trip for my in laws and my husband's brother and wife next October. Everyone was all good with the idea of doing a 2 bedroom villa, so I started gathering some fun items to leave each day for everyone.

Found some fun marvel & disney princess pails to fill with candy, bracelets I'm making for the ladies, etc. etc. I was excited that we were doing the 2 bd because that would make it soooo much easier to do the magic on the sly as we leave the room.

Well now they want to do a studio for each couple (UGH more work and planning for me:badpc:) Has anyone ever gotten help from housekeeping or a CM to do stuff like this?

We did the 3 family 2 bedroom villa.... Awful awful awful... Might be convenient for what you're planning but in reality....everyone wants their own space and privacy....too much time together is not a good thing... after a day of togetherness, I need a break from everyone ( except my family )...especially at night, silence, winding down with a drink....solitude and peace...

As for gifts and such... WDW is more than enough, nothing else needed, pool time, picnic lunches....who needs trinkets of junk that usually gets thrown away...

Do as you may but we K.I.S.S......keep it simple stupid..!

So while I agree partially the whole too much time together thing can be band look at it another angle. Do you get to see these ppl a lot or being Disney is this a quality time together trip? If y'all get along and are great together then no problem. Also like in my case my friend going with me is one of my few best friends, plus haven't seen him in 5 months so I'd hate if we had separate rooms

Also the trinkets and gift Ideasvare honestly sweet it shows you care about them to try and do that+ if you are taking to give on the trip might save some money here and there you know?

We do see my parents in law quite a bit since they live so close to us and I love spending time with them. My husbands brother and wife live 3-4 hours away so we barely see them. My in laws definitely want this to be a spend time together with both sons and their wives, big deal type of trip.

I'm definitely the type of person to do extra little things for friends and family especially when it comes to things like celebrating and stuff. Most of the trinket type stuff is vehicles for food treats (my husband and I found out on our honeymoon it would have been nice to have some snack stuff to get us through the day) so we're going to be bringing the food anyways.

I'm also hoping to maybe do something special (maybe some streamers and get a cake from one of the bakeries) for my in laws since their wedding anniversary is at the end of that month. I'm just wondering if people have been able to access other members of their parties rooms to do extra magic stuff like that to surprise them or if it's just too much hassle?

If you are staying club level it would be easier to arrange or if you're planning to do something just once during the trip it might be possible to ask a CM or housekeeping, but it sounds like you want to do something every day during the trip in which case it would be harder since CMs and housekeeping all have assigned tasks during their shifts that don't give them much free time.

Likewise, I'm not sure how readily a CM or housekeeping will let you into rooms that you don't have a key to. I know we once came back to our room while housekeeping was there and since the door was slightly ajar, we had to use our room key to show the housekeeper that it was our room.

It might be easier to give your in laws one or two larger gift baskets/pails rather than leave a little something every day.

Yeah those are really good points. We're planning on staying DVC through renting points so no club level.

Maybe I'll see if I can try and get in once to decorate quick and do the bigger baskets. That seems like the simplest option! I have so many ideas and when I have too many ideas I tend to over complicate things haha.

Thanks everyone for your feedback it definitely helped!:cheer2:

I genuinely can't see any resort staff member allowing anyone into somebody else's room. Maybe try for AKL Jambo House DVC Club Level?

Bell services has deilveried packages for me to my nieces rooms.

I made up disney themed pool packages for each of them.

I took packages to front desk and they told me to take them to bell services for delivery, this was at the pops, we where staying at CS. I just got the room number from my sister and gave them to bell services with $10 tip and wola, girls got their packages and thought mickey and mini did it :goodvibes
