Our vet has recommended it and we have started it a week ago. He was also on prednisone and antibiotics so it isn't easy to tell if it is working right now. It seems he is itching a LOT less so perhaps the cost is worth it. I do have a hard time spending over a hundred dollars a month for maintenance.
