Did anyone see it?
What are your opinions on the movie?

I really enjoyed it.
For anyone who hasnt seen it I wont mention any spoilers but it was a really good movie ;]

The movie was terrible. I really enjoyed the plot, it was really intriguing. However, the film was very.. unorganized. I'm sure the director was trying to be 'artsy' or whatever by showing things from both points of view, but I had to think very hard while watching this film to get really what was going on. It was so out of order.
The typer writer got on my nerves.
And it was very boring. There were long scenes where nothing would happen. Not even dialogue. The worst one was him walking on the beach. It showed devastation and war very well, but it wasn't anything I hadn't seen in a film and was quite boring. If I had actually been at my normal theatre with comfy seats, I would have been asleep.

I think people should read the book first. It's a wonderful novel, and then when you watch the movie, the blanks can be filled really easily.
The ending was also very sad.

I actually reeeeally liked it. lol
But I'm a dorky movienerd.
I especially loved the first half.
There ARE parts though that are reeeallly long & drawn out!! SO beware if you don't have patience for that.
(and i liked the typing too--it was a cool little conceptual thing)

I'm planning on reading the novel this summer though (once i actually have TIME for leisure reading again!) and maybe then i won't like the movie so much (that happens VERRRY often)

But all in all I really liked it alot. My kind of movie. If you saw 'There Will Be Blood' and could take all the loong drawn out nothing-really-happens kind of scenes...you can handle this one! lol

The book is really well written.
It's drawn out too, but it's mostly because it has characters thoughts in it.
But I just like to know more of the story, there's a lot more about the mother in the novel.
A lot more about all of them.
I actually haven't finished yet. I finished part one, which is what sets everything in motion.. but I can't get to read when he goes into war.

I like the movie but it was a little confusing in parts. Like the time changes...and that's really all that was confusing. But on the soundtrack the clicking is aggrivating...blah
