I am planning on applying to be a Atmosphere Character at the DLR. I was wondering, is the audition the same as a Character Performer? With dancing and stuff? Because I was hoping it would be more of the face and greeting guests?

P.S I want to audition for Pocahontas or Jasmine! :D

What is the difference between atmosphere characters and character performers? Where do face characters fall in the mix?

"Atmosphere Characters" is the term used at the Disneyland Resort in California to refer to the Disney Characters who walk around in the Parks.

It is the same thing as the Character Performer role at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, but with a different name. On both coasts, "Face" Characters are considered part of thia role along with the "Fur" Characters.

I was under the impression that "Atmosphere" at DLR was fur only, actually, and that for face they put up an audition for "Look a Likes."

But I could be wrong.

It is for auditions, but when it comes to Operations, I've always heard the two terms used interchangeably.
