I'm considering an ADR at the Wave because the menu looks as if there's something to please everyone in our group. But, I'm wondering if it's a comfortable setting. I only find pictures of the entry which looks a little sleek and "contemporary." What's seating in the restaurant like? Thanks.

I ate here with my family in January. IT WAS THE WORST MEAL WE HAD.:scared1: We are not picky eaters and I can find anything on a menu to eat. My dad and I ordered the chicken pot pie...not what I would call a pot pie, it was more like a stew. I believe it was a chicken thigh on top...my daughter got something that looked okay, I forgot what it was called, it was to spicy for her. My youngest ordered off the kids menu, and got nachos. The room itself had cute booths along the one wall, very private...the rest of the room there were tables in the center some for 4, some round. The room was on the dim side. My dad said the best part of the place was the waiting area...it was a cute little area with blue lighting. Dessert there too was awful. We spent many days in disney and ate at a lot of resturants...this was the worst...I would never go back. I hope you enjoy your vacation...:)

WOW, I need to hear more, I haven't been to the Wave yet. I have ADR's for October after hearing that I may change.

The Wave was calming. Low lighting, soft music and great food. For an hour I forgot I was in the land of the mouse. Our food was good and I will go there again.

Haven't been there for awhile but haven't thought there was anything wrong with the food.

Pretty much that. I loved the decor and the ambiance.

I enjoyed the beef tenderloin so much on my first meal there I decided to come back for a second meal during my trip. I didn't enjoy the seafood pasta dish as much as the beef tenderloin but the service and the atmosphere were still fantastic.

The atmosphere is really contemporary and calming at the Wave.

Here are some photos of the interior -

We went last Sept and enjoyed the food very much - it was one of our favorite meals. I recommend the filet.

You should give it a try! I think you'll find that most reviews are positive. :thumbsup2

We liked it, too. Looking back, I'd probably not pick a super early ADR for dinner because they seemed to fill it section by section (empty restaurant and we were seated next to the only other table). Tables were close...

Food was good, though, and not your typical offerings. We've made ADRs for our upcoming trip.

Yeah, what they said. I think I wrote a mini-report when we returned that pretty much said the same thing. You forget you are in Disney for a while. Which may or may not be what youare looking for. But after a full day of kids and characters, it was nice to have a meal that felt like a "real" meal.

The menu doesn't appeal to everyone. I really like that type of food (more "composed" KWIM?). If the menu appeals to you, and the idea of having a non-traditional atmosphere (for Disney) appeals to you, go for it!

It's a great restaurant with good food and a really cool atmosphere.

Thanks everyone. I was grateful to see pictures, and I'm feeling more confident. I did make the reservation. We have some people in our party who want to go back to the MK that evening for EMH and some who will want to go back to OKW. I think it's a good choice. I appreciate your encouragement.

I guess we will keep our ADR's for October based on the comments here and we can then form our own opinion about the Wave, thanks for this thread SusieBea

The Wave was one of our best meals on our last trip. We enjoyed it so much that we moved our ADRs around so we could eat there twice. We have it booked again. Even my 4yo son loved it. We found the service to be great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. :goodvibes

Even if you don't get a booth, the tables are nice and far apart (as compared to say, Le Cellier).
The Wave is definitely in my top 3 restaurants at WDW. Perfect to pop over for a relaxing lunch from MK, or have a romantic dinner or chill at the bar.

Wish I was there right now! :lovestruc

The Wave was fantastic when we were there in April. We asked our server for food recommendations and she was spot on with all of them. The scallop appetizer, the arctic char with edamame stew and the dessert sampler were all just phenomonal. The atmosphere was very soothing and it was a delightful experience. Enjoy!

I totally agree. The Wave was one of our best and most relaxing lunches all week.

I ordered the chicken pot pie when I was there last month. At the time of ordering, the waiter warned me that it was not a traditional pot pie; more like a "deconstructed" version which had all of the same ingredients, but not served in the normal way. In any event, it was delicious! Apparently, your waiter did not give you the same warning.

I've been to The Wave twice. It is not a "must do every trip", but is pretty good and I will go back again in the future.

We went to the Wave in February for dinner. All of us loved it, including the kids (8, 6, 4 and infant). My wife and I enjoyed our meal (I had the tenderloin and she had the fish). The best part was the deserts. Each desert is a three-item sampler. That way we could enjoy a couple of bites from 6 different deserts. We would strongly recommend the Wave.
