Happy Friday everyone!

Has anyone tried to get reservations at Atlantis (Bahamas)?

If so, was it hard to get and also was it as nice as everything appears to be?

I would love to go. Any info would be appreciated.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday To You...I was actually on the site last night trying to plan ahead for my husbands 40th. I have been there 4 times but not since they opened the last building in 2006. The dates I looked at were during Thanksgiving and there was still rooms & packages available.

It is a great place lots of fun, shark feeding, an amazing aquarium, slides, garden,:sail: beautiful restaurants but the beach/ocean is often very rough (as opposed to some of the other islands were have visited). The place is truly huge, nothing intimate about it so it really matters what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info. Are you a DVC member? There was actually availability through Interval? Please get back to me. Thanks!:wizard:

I've never gone there on points, but we did go there with a cash reservation in 2001 I think it was. It was FANTASTIC!! I would love to go back there someday. It really was as nice as it looks.

Here is a recent thread,

Depending on when you want to go, it may be a very difficult trade through II. We haven't been there ourselves, but we own at Starwood timeshare and I've read about the difficulty in booking there during popular times. You will have a better chance of getting a one-bedroom versus a two-bedroom, and putting your request in early.

Good luck!

Depending on when you want to go, it may be simpler and better to just pay cash. At slow times of the year excellent rates are often available. I got a room for our family for under $200 so we could visit during our DCL cruise last month. If it hadn't been for the extra $45 they charged because our oldest was 13 :sad2:, it would have been under $150! Unlike some hotels the best rates may not be through their website -- I got our room through TravelZoo.

I was told that they were taking Atlantis off of one of the hotel choices when we bought in September, is that not true?

My family LOVES Atlantis, we've been there three times.

Atlantis the hotel is off the CC list. Harbourside the timeshare is back on the II exchange list. It will be difficult to get into but possible if you can go truly off season like May, Sept and the first half of Dec.
