Hi everyone, we're planning a trip to Disney (me, my wife and 2 daughters ages 9 and 12) in July. We've been offered a good deal in Windsor Hills at Atlantis the Townhouse on Otterspool Ave. By any chance, has anyone else stayed at this house and be able to offer their opinion? It looks really nice on the website (davh.com). Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Looks like what I would call the "standard" type of townhome in Windsor Hills, average furniture and accomodations (not that this is a bad thing). The townhomes are really nice, the pictures there really don't even come close to doing it justice. It also looks like it backs up onto the grassy park area in the townhome section which is a nice added bonus actually, those homes cost quite a bit more to buy!

If you're getting a good deal on it, I'd definitely book it, the homes and the resort are just gorgeous, I took a look a the DAVH website and it doesn't do it justice by a long ways!

Great, thanks George. We were quoted $826 for a 7 night stay from 7/5-7/12including tax. We jumped on it this morning, and can't wait to get there. I'll be sure to post about it when we get back.

That's a pretty good rate, $103 a night roughly before taxes. For a 3br/3ba townhome with a pool in a gorgeous 5* resort you're not going to do much better than that! Take a look for my post on here on the "Shortcut" directions to get to/from the parks using the Sherberth road back entrance that takes you there in under 5 mins! (you can search the dis for shortcut or short cut). Also... www.gardengrocer.com is a great option. If you haven't rented a pool home / villa before, be sure to find out in advance what types of supplies you might be expected to provide yourself, as pool homes are "self catering". (Meaning...TP, soap, dish soap, laundry det, coffee filters(?), trash bags, etc). I have one other suggestion for you...which would be to pack a few DVDs! We were there last month and went out looking for a movie rental store...and I couldn't BELEIVE there isn't a Blockbuster anywhere in the area! (Which will AMAZE you when you see how many 100s and 100s of stores there are all up and down US-192!)

Some of this is listed here, by the way, information we provide our guests, but most of it is relevant, such as the "supplies you should plan on bringing":
