I am considering a trip to Atlantis with a conference.
I am wondering just how EXPENSIVE the food is on site?

Thanks so much.

Expensive at some of the high class restaurants but you can eat semi-cheap there. it is just a matter of where you are going. If hotel is paid for by your conference and you choose not to go... I will start a petition to get you banned. It is amazing!

You can go to there website and click on the restaurants and menus to view pricing. I think it is really expensive! Dinner entrees only are all around $50. Salads, burgers and sandwiches around $20.

We live in a very high COL area, and my neighbor couldn't get over the prices ($12 bowl of oatmeal).

:rotfl: Well, it is only PARTLY paid for. The food and most of the hotel would be on me.... that's why I was asking. Thanks!

that's what I was figuring... Not any worse than some of the other resorts I have stayed in.

Wow. 12 bucks for oatmeal is ridiculous!! OMG.
I will have to check out the website and see.... thanks.

Pretty expensive. Try Anthony's accross the street. They have a Starbucks & Jamba Juice.

They bought out the one strip mall that was close and tore it down. Had some great local places :(

THanks!:thumbsup2

absolutely, utterly, ridiculous...

The food costs are one of the reason we will never go back.

2 pops and a bag of chips by the pool was $18.

Lunch buffet for 2 adults and a child $130.

We went cheap:rotfl2: to the New York Style deli on the marina for lunch.
DD ate off child's menu and my Dh and I split reuben, a bowl of soup, salad and we all drank water. $60

And this was 6 years ago....

Aside from the food costs. After the Disney water parks this place does not compare. Our DD 8 at the time, was done after 2 hours. The entire place shuts down at sunset which I remember being early, around 6pm. Then there is nothing to do but shop or gamble.:sad2:

I really don't think we would go back if it were free. My family much prefers Mexico or cruising.

Yeah the prices are rediculous. I was just about ready to book a trip to Atlantis last year in March. Well that was before I decided to check meal prices and its astronomical. Yes you can eat at cheaper places which are still a little pricey, but I mean, you're paying all this money for airfare and hotel, you should be able to eat well.

They have a dining plan which is still off da hizzie expensive.
