Atlantis Day Room?

I will be on the Wonder Cruise - Feb 16th (40, DS 16, DS 15)- and was looking to spend the day at Atlantis. Comfort Suites has no available rooms and the cheapest room at Atlantis is 395.00.

I've heard mention of an Atlantis Day Room on this board - but when I called Atlantis I was told that they do not have "day rooms". I was wondering what the real story is. Perhaps they don't advertise the "day room" but make it available if you show up? Has anyone gone to Atlantis to try to get a day room and been turned away?

Any advice would be helpful.

We just tried last week and were told $200 for a room for 5 plus taxes. To pricey for us as there were 10 of us it came to about $500. They told us rates went up 1/1/03.

You may get a better price if you show up and ask. It seems that they do deny the existence of the day room... there could be a variety of reasons for this that I won't even attempt to speculate on... so you won't get straight information from them about this except when you show up.

We did go to the Atlantis and were told on site $500 for 2 day rooms for 10 of us. 3 different check in areas gave us the same information around the Atlantis. We walked over to the Comfort Suites accross the street and they were $195 per room plus taxes....also almost $500 (we needed 2 rooms). We talked to several different reps at the Atlantis and from what we gathered, it has been so cold in the Eastern US this winter that their business is up 20% to 25%. They are just about full and do not need the business like they did last winter with 9/11 and the warm winter.
