My parents will be doing the Atlantis Beach Day through DCL which starts at 10:15am. What time do you think they will actually be sitting on the beach (including transportation to atlantis, tour etc.)? We booked Atlantis Aquaventure because we could get an earlier time starting at 9:30 and we might want to use the waterpark but I'm thinking about just doing the same one. I just don't want to be waiting until noon to actually start enjoying Atlantis!

Thank you!

I was just there last week and did the Atlantis beach day. Our time was 10:15 as well and by the time we got on a bus and actually got to the beach (we went to the cove beach, a little bit of a walk) it was about 1230. But I will add, I had my 3 year old with me and she wanted to go to the aquarium first so we walked through that first before finding the beach. I hope this helps!

You were allowed to go to the Cove beach? That’s good news. I thought we had to go to the other one that is more public. Was Cove beach private?

I heard somewhere (I can't prove it's true but I've heard reports) is that the "beach" from the "beach day" package is actually a free beach where anybody can go (all they have to do is take a cab)...???

So I probably wouldn't get the Beach Day package. I would stick to the visit or Aquaventure...

Yes and no.

All beaches in the Bahamas are public to the high water mark. The particular beach these folks went to is part of Cabbage Beach, which is the long beach on Paradise island, and Atlantis sits on that beach. But there are no public facilities on this beach, so only resort guests can use the hotels' rest room and dining/bar facilities.

Cove Beach is private in that it can only be accessed from Atlantis grounds, and there's a reef that protects the cove from boats coming in. But its available for all Atlantis guests. I'm not sure if Atlantis' beach pass policy prevents people from getting to this area, because its basically part of Aquaventure. But if one person in a party of 4 had the beach pass (and the other folks had Aquaventure passes,) I doubt the security guards (who are looking for wristbands) would notice that one was beach pass. And some might not know what the policy is.
