I am just in the beginning stages of research and am wondering what you have been able to accomplish in the amount of time off the ship at Atlantis aquaventure and beach areas? The cruise I am considering says the times for guests ashore is 9:30am and guests onboard is 5:15pm. Do any of you have somewhat of a timeline of what you were able to do in this time? I would probably just book it through Disney for peace of mind and because we are only a party of two so the cost difference is not significant.

Thank you!

We did this a few years ago, we did all the water slides and "aquaventure" stuff. We didn't hit the beach, waves were monstrous- and we knew we were going to Castaway cay- so skipped it. We had a pretty good lunch(that was included). We definitely weren't bored, it was fun. It was me, DH, and DD- she was 10. So just us 3. We also did the aquarium.

If both of you are adults then you should be able to fit everything in during that time frame. However, it is a lot of walking and from the time you gather in your meeting location and actually setting foot in the resort takes about 45 min to an hour. From there depending on how early it is the water park isn't too crowded but it does get very crowded as the more ships arrive and the resort guests get up and start pouring into the water park area as well as well. Overall it is very fun and worth the $$ IMO but it will take some planning to ensure you do everything on your must do list because there is a lot of walking involved and Atlantis is huge. Happy planning!

Depends on when you are going. We went this past Spring break, Easter week, at opening. They didn't have enough rafts for the lazy river so only 3 out of 4 of us did that the whole day. My teens only got on one slide because of lines. We did go to the beach for a bit. We had a cabana, so we didn't have to wait in lines for food or drink, which was nice. We ended up leaving around 3 because the crowds were just too much.ive talked to lots of people that have gone at different times that didn't have crowd issues.

We just did this in July and did not feel it was worth the price tag. We are a family of four and it was over $600! It took a solid hour to hour and a half from when we met on board the Dream till we actually set foot in Atlantis. The place is HUGE, and we walked and walked and walked some more. Lines for slides were ridiculous so we only did the adventure river (which was quite fun) and the kids' areas. Food coupons were only good at certain spots and we waited about 45 min to order below average food. Workers were also on the rude side. We walked all over the grounds, down to the beach, and swam in one of the main pools. Grounds were beautiful but we won't go back. Nassau itself was very run down and we hustled through the little market to get back on the ship.
