During our last trip to WDW my SIL wanted to go out somewhere at night. She was chatting with a CM and he said we should go to Atlantic Dance. So later SIL was talking to a bartender at POP, and the bartender said NO, we didn't want to go there, it is DEAD, and recommended Pleasure Island. We ended up not going anywhere. So anyway, our next trip is coming soon, and I would like to ask you guys' opinion, about Atlantic Dance, Pleasure Island, etc. By the way, we are in our 40's. Personally, I would rather just go to sleep.:rotfl: Thanks!

Sorry I can't help with your question but I'd really like to know the answer as well! Hopefully someone will have some details about Atlantic Dance!

Everytime I've gone by Atlantic Dance Hall it's been dead.
Pleasure Island is ok, but IMHO it's gone down hill since they
started allowing people to bring there children there.

If you want a fun night,
where the crowd is 21 and up...
I'd go to Jellyrolls (next to Atlantic Dance Hall).:thumbsup2

We went to Atlantic Dance hall. It was dead but they had good music and we had another couple with us so we just got a drink and hung out. No cover charge so not to bad. Jelly rolls was looked packed. I'm in my 30's and I would rather go there then Pleasure Island.

Go to Jellyrolls, great fun. Stay away from Atlantic Dance Hall, last time we were there I swear I saw a tumbleweed roll by.

So glad I read this thread. Some friends and I are going down to Disney in October for girls only weekend! Have never been to JellyRolls but it sounds like fun.

Another vote for Jellyrolls. Susan

Thank you all! I will suggest we try Jelly Rolls.
I liked the tumbleweed comment!:rotfl:

A long time ago, I used to listen to Bruce Williams on the radio, and I remember his son was a piano player at Jelly Rolls. Does anyone know if he is still there? I bet it was like 10 years ago.

Yup! Michael! He's my Jellyrolls favorite!!!!
(see pic below - he's in the black t-shirt)

You can see who's playing at

and look under pics.
(Michael is who you're looking for,
Mike is Mike Kilwein who's also great!)

Jellyrolls is excellent if you want to laugh and sing. If you want to dance, head to Pleasure Island. As stated, Atlantic Dance is dead. Take a nap before heading out and you'll not want to just SLEEP!!

Regarding Twotoohappy's comment about kids at PI, no one under 21 is allowed in any of the dance clubs. There are no longer any outdoor stages so the few teens that are there are usually just passing through as there is nothing to keep them there. After midnight no one under 21 is allowed on PI period except if passing through with an adult. So kids and specifically teens are no longer a factor on Pleasure Island.

Yeah:banana:
We were there August 2006 and kids were going into most of the clubs
with their parents.
It was horrible!
I just went to allears, and yup you're right:thumbsup2
Kids can only go to Adventurers Club and Comedy Club with their parents.
I might have to try it again.
