Anyone know what this place is like? Is it Big Band music - swing dance and foxtrot? I hope so! DH and I are really into that. We'll be going in Sept. Anyone been there lately?

Unfortunately not. It was a swing dance club when it first opened but over the years it has morphed into a "Top 40" format with a DJ. :sad2:

I walked into the Dance Hall last year...

It was empty, except for the people working there. And when I say empty, it's not an exaggeration. I was sole patron. It was about 11pm, so maybe it was a bit early for the club crowd. I left, got my group, and went to Jellyrolls.

By the way, Jellyrolls was a blast - I highly recommend it!

Sounds like a perfect place to put the Adventurers Club to me! The two night-time places I love most in all of Disney World (AC & Jellyrolls), right next to each other! I might have to splurge and stay at the Boardwalk!

We always poke our heads into Atlantic Dance and like the previous poster said, it's usually dead. Once in a while there are 5-10 people dancing, but that's not usual...at all. :)

Jellyroll's definitely is a good time though!!

What is the Adventurers Club and why did it close if so many people seem to support it? Is it for swingers?:hippie:

We have also been there and been the only people in Atlantic Dance hall. We happened to walk in when a song my husband liked was playing so we stayed until it was over and left. I felt bad for the few people working there because they were all just standing around.

I also put in my vote for Jellyrolls being a GREAT place to go at night!! We go at least once everytime we are down there. :thumbsup2

I was thinking of Atlantic Dance for the evening of my birthday since PI will be gone by then... :sad2:

Maybe not the best idea. The original concept sounded great though. I guess it wasn't so popular since they changed it. Can't imagine why though? I know I would have loved it, I'm sure. :confused3

Think it'll be CityWalk for us.

maybe once PI closes the Atlantic Dance Hall will pick up in its popularity? :confused3 is it 21+? last time i went to Disney i was only 18 so i couldnt go to jellyrolls and i could only go to some clubs at PI. This time im 24 and im going in August so i get to experience the end of PI and Jellyrolls ( so excited i LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE piano bars!) i figure ill pop my head into the atlantic dance hall just because ill be there, but i know right now not to get my hopes up

I walk past the AD quite often as I most often stay at the Swan resort when visiting. I don;t think I have ever seen a person walking into or out of the place. I have stuck my head in a few times, never have seen a soul in there, other than the CM's. :confused3 There is always a door guy, I always give him a wave as I walk by, say hello. :wave2: Strange place.

It is 21 and older.

And hey, Mary, nice to see you here.

I think that the biggest problem is that no one knows what it is (or that it exists). How are teh club kids supposed to know to go?
