My DF and I are planning to have our wedding reception at the Atlantic Dance Hall for about 80 people. We only want to bring in 4 of the bigger round or square tables to dance floor so that way we have enough room to dance but he is really worried about utalizing the smaller tabels that are on the 1st level and that they will look really wierd and our guests will hate them. We know you can switch them out for $2500 but there is no way I would spend that much money to switch out tables. I really love the Atlantic Dance Hall and I really want him to love it too. Does anyone have a pictures or can share there experiences with using the smaller tables? Thanks!!

Here's a pic of the dance floor with four large tables on it. I don't think having people at the smaller tables will look weird, but some guests might wonder why they're being relegated to the perimeter while certain guests get to sit on the dance floor with the bridal party.

That was exactly his thought too. He didn't want people thinking they were less important becuase they were on the first leval. I think our families would be pretty understanding though. I know the dance floor will look great I just hope the first floor will look just as nice.

We are also using ADH for the reception with about 90 people and I've been thinking about the exact same issues. At this point I'm thinking of not putting any tables on the dance floor at all except the head table, or just putting 4 of the round tables and using the smaller tables on the outside on the sides, not behind the DJ booth, so it seems a little less isolated. I think in the end though that if you put your immediate family or people that you are the closest to on the dance floor, other people will understand. Ultimately it's your wedding and you can't please everybody, especially when your guest count number gets higher.

we are having our reception at ADH in April and we dealt with the same issue. What we came up with is having a roman table on the dance floor for 20 people. (both of us and our 18 people bridal party....i know its alot. long story lol) Then we are using the four 4 tops on both sides and and four 4 tops in the back by the back bar. We figured this was the best way to use the space for us and break up a big room with 80 people. Good Luck! Oh and on the roman table, no one will be seated right in front of us so we can still see everything going on!

I know the arrangement might be awkward, but remember to just keep family and the bridal party close to you (on the dance floor). Other friends will understand about the seating and I'm guessing that people won't even be in their seats for very long!

This is exactly what he thought. He did not want people to think they are less important because they in the first level of E. I think our family will appreciate, though. I know looks good on the dance floor, first floor, I just want to look bad.

We had just over 80 guests at our wedding and we did 8 round tables on the floor and 1 sweetheart table for us. Originally we were going to utilize the side tables but then decided to just do 8 rounds of 10-12. I had thought we would need to push tables back for dancing room but it turned our perfect. There was plenty of room even when everyone was on the dance floor at one time.
I am trying to figure out how to post a pic, when I figure it out I will post it.
