Hey all - I'm taking my mother to A/C later this week for her Mothers Day gift. I want to park at Ceasers, and she wants to eat at Trop. Shes in a wheel chair, and I will be pushing her. How far is the walk between these two hotels? I'm planning on taking the boardwalk.

TIA! :wizard:

The map I found says its about .7 miles...

Easy 10-15 minute walk. Caesar's is in the heart of everything and Trop is in a quieter area. Love the Trop! Ri Ra's is so good! So is the little italian place there though the name escapes me right now.

Just one more question - I get out of Ceasers and I'm standing on the boardwalk looking at the beach.... Which way to I walk???? lol

Coming out of Caesars, you walk to your right to get down to the Tropicana. It's not a long walk at all. Caesars is in the middle of the Boardwalk, so there's a lot going on right there (Caesars, Bally's, The Pier Shops). Down by the Tropicana it is a lot quieter. Where are you going to eat there? I love Carmines, and I've been wanting to try the bar at Red Square as well.

My mother wants to go to Carmines - I looked at their menu, and OMG!!! The prices are outragous!!!! I wanted to go to Budakon (sp?) in the Pier Mall, but its her mothers day.... ;)

I'm going to hop on the OP's thread and ask an AC question. What hotels are close to The Borgata? Only Trump Marina?r I want to go to a concert at the Borgata but it's over $400 a night to stay there:scared1: I know AC can be iffy at night...can we go from The Borgata back to a hotle on the boardwalk safely?

Keep in mind that Carmine's is a family style restaurant. That means each entree serves 3-4 people. We went there in February with 9 people and ordered 4 entrees, a salad and garlic bread. We still had some leftover! It was GOOD though! We also got the Titanic dessert and did a number on it!

Trump Marina and Harrah's are nearby. There's a jitney that can take you between those hotels & the boardwalk for a nominal fee or you could always take a cab. The cab ride is only about five minutes and you can pick them up right in front of any of the hotels.

I know.... and its only my mother and myself going.... I don't want to talk her out of it because its where she wants to go, but I think we would be much happier at a restaurant in Pier Mall. Oh well, its what she wants! Thankfully we have pretty much the same taste in food, so sharing wont be a problem.

Get a bottle of their house wine - it's really good.

Thanks!!

Ok, I just emailed my mother the menu, and she agreed that it would be to much, so we will be going to somewhere in the Pier Mall.

I just returned from the Borgata yesterday (also a mother's day gift). While researching places to eat, I found the Continental, in the Pier Mall. OMG! It was absolutely wonderful! It's tapas style dining, so you get appetizer size dishes, brought out at various times throughout your meal (depending on when it's ready). One dish can feed two and the atmosphere is old school, Frank Sinatra type theme. The website is very cool! We frequent Atlantic City several times a year, and have been in the Pier Mall dozens of times, but eating there was a first.....but it won't be our last.
