I am driving from Atlanta to Orlando- the day before we are due to WDW. Our plan is to arrive in Orlando and hang out, sleep at a cheap hotel and arrive at the WDW resorts early the next day to check-in and get to a theme park for Rope Drop.

So here's my question: Where do you go to eat? And what is your "Must-Stop" between Atlanta and Orlando?

This may sound weird, but I have been driving from Atlanta to Orlando every year since 2006. But every time I drove, I would start around 1AM and drive all night long. The reason why is because my kids were younger and they would stay sleep. Plus, it was cheaper because no one's getting hungry and you use less gas. And it is quicker because I can go all night without stopping for anything except gas and my own needs.

But this time, we want to do something different. We want to still leave early, but around 5AM instead of 1AM. Therefore, we will stop for breakfast. We may stop somewhere that may be interesting to stretch our legs.

So where do you think we should stop and see or eat while on the way?

Our must stop is the Florida Welcome Station.

Let the kids get out and explore while you collect the Florida sightseeing brochures. And of course, there's the free orange juice.
