If you were going to stay overnight at an Atlanta airport hotel, the night before a flight, which one would you choose?

Whichever is cheapest of the hotels at Gateway Center that you can access from the Plane Train. Slight edge to Springhill Suites as it's the closest to the train station.

Here’s a link that may help. As the OP said, for ease of travel, choose a hotel that can be accessed by the ATL SkyTrain. Scroll midway down for the hotel list. The metro station is also in the airport. If you don’t want to Uber to a hotel, you can research hotels that can be accessed using that.

Wife and I stayed at the Airport Marriott once. We picked it mostly becase it had a deal for leaving our car onsite while we were at the World. The room was fine, the staff were nice and hepful but lesss than knowledgeable. The airport shuttle was reliable. The lobby bar made a pretty good mojito.
