Atlanta Airport Hotel

We have a 7am flight on a Saturday morning out of Atlanta to Orlando. We live about an hour away so we figured it'd be a lot easier if we could spend the night somewhere near the airport. I have a couple of questions:

1. Does anyone know of a good hotel to stay in? It doesn't need to be upscale or anything like that, but certainly not a dump (ie: no name places). Do any hotels offer to let you keep your car parked at the airport while you are gone? It seems I've heard of that somewhere.

2. How early do you think we should get to the airport for a 7am flight on a Saturday. I would usually say two hours, but 5am seems a bit early for then. I don't think they are usually too busy at that time. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks! :sunny:

I found this on the web

Park Here, Fly There

Don't fight the traffic! Enjoy Park & Fly rates starting from $99

Park Here, Fly There
Choose from five Atlanta Marriott Airport properties and not only save on the parking cost - but also on your commute.

Conveniently located minutes from Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, the Atlanta Airport Marriott, Renaissance Concourse Hotel, Courtyard Airport North, Courtyard Airport South and Residence Inn Airport are offering a Park and Fly package that includes accommodations, complimentary hotel parking for up to 7 days and shuttle service to and from the Airport.

Any of those would be fine. The Westin also does a park and fly. So does the Shearton and several others.... You have lots of choices.

I've stayed at both the Hilton and the Hampton by the airport and both were very nice and reasonably priced (The Hilton has Starbucks in the lobby :) ) Not sure if either has a stay and fly, but pretty sure the Hilton does. Worth checking out.

We stayed at the Courtyard by the airport. My kids loved the indoor pool. Nice, clean and free airport shuttle. The rates were great too for a Marriott property!

Thanks for all the great responses! I'm off to check them out. I've got everything else figured out - flight, minivan rental and hotel in Orlando. Whoo Hoo! :cool1:
