I may have only started today but I have already problems. Since eating my breakfast at 10am my stomach has been so upset. I had 3 fried eggs and 4 pieces of bacon. I haven't been able to eat anything else today because breakfast is sitting in the pit of my stomach, churning.
It's like my tummy misses toast with it's fried eggs.
In all honesty, it feels like I ate a stick of butter. Like there is too much oil or something.
I don't know. Can anyone help? :confused3

It is very difficult to go "cold turkey" from carbs. One of the things I did before I started a low carb diet was cut my carbs back gradually so that it would not be such a shock to my system. If you feel the oil in the eggs is making you sick, try eating them hard boiled. Maybe you could also substitute an Atkins breakfast bar, and have it with hood milk, or even try some of Atkins cereal, which I think is allowed in phase I.

Hang in there. It is difficult at first, but it does get easier.

I agree that such a drastic change may be a bit much for your system. I'm so sorry you're feeling sick - been there, done that, and it is no fun. A gradual decreasing of your carbs might work better for you.

Thanks Connie and Doreen.
I guess having a bad tooth and taking meds on top of trying to start Atkins was kind of bad timing. I can barely chew as it is.
But I will take you advice, may eat my eggs hard boiled for a while, have a slice of bread to help soak up some of the oil.
Thanks again....
