Well send my DH to the docs yesterday for a much over due complete check up....

He is down almost 70 pounds since last Jan, (with small breaks in the plan for two vacations and christmas).....

I was getting worried because when he is on the go, he grabs a stick of pepperoni from a local deli and some cheese and thats what he was doing lots.....My concern was his chloestrol was up or too much sodium and the risk of stroke....ya da da ....you all know the drill.

Plus if I heard one more person tell me that low carb eating wasnt good for you I was gonna scream. How can eating lots of veggies and lean meats versus bread and pasta be bad......dah!

Anyway back to the reason for my post.......

Doc told him not to change a thing.....gave him the two thumbs up.......blood pressure ...GREAT!!! chloestrol screening due back tues and will let you all know how that went....doc expects stellar results,

Gave him a glowing report......wanted to let you all know that we aren't nuts and it can be done.....

By the way for all you big losers out there (you know I mean that kindly;) ) it took his body several months to shrink down the weight loss.....he still is losing inches due to the skin shrinking back so dont get upset if it seems to all be hanging around the mid section it does shrink back.......

So kudos to the man I love !!!! Wish it were me......

Always nice to get good news from the doc. Those who say low carb is not good for you are those who have yet to break their indoctrination from the "food pyramid" that the government put together years ago. It has since been shown that it was based on flawed research, but you still see it everywhere.

Congrats to your husband. Hope the cholesterol screen comes back with equally good news.
 
Cindy - you must be so proud of your husband! It's a shame the way people put down lc programs. It's just not right. My husband and I have lost over 120 pounds in just over 5 months follow SBD and I wouldn't change a thing.

Tell your husband that we applaud him sticking with his program and proving the naysayers wrong!
