ATC Swap Due! ALL Mailed Back. Thanks!

I am using old priority boxes for my bases. I cut them in 2.5 by 3.5 cards and then I pick whatever paper I want to really be my base color and glue them together. Very sturdy:rotfl2:

:moped: postal!

But I realised my stamp didn't have a thing for medium.:sad2: However, if you want to know what I've used on anything just ask and I can tell you as I made a note as I was going through (you'd think I would have thoguht to write it on, then, wouldn't you? Even without a specific line  )

So I discovered something else last night. Not all cards are created equally, I cut my cardstock last night and the 7 Gypsies cards are slightly smaller then 2.5 x 3.5. Oh well, it is what it is. My cards fit inside baseball card sleeves so I figure that's all that counts.
I got my backs stamped and somewhat filled out, stamped and cut my frogs, tigers, and elephants but I am still having commitment issues. I just can't wrap my brain around a layout. What if it's not enough, what if it's too much (like the sticker sneeze days). OMG I need to get out of my own way!!! LOL

That's a good idea, just make sure that they are already in good condition, because those types of cardboard are not archival. Just a little heads up. Sounds good though:thumbsup2

Are playing cards and stuff that people use archival?

Buffy, don't don't worry so much mama... The most important thing I want you to remember is to have FUN with this! Enjoy enjoy creating something with the pieces that you already have & relax with them. Lay them on the table & look at the colors, the textures, the image itself.
As far as the elephant goes, I think it would be neat if you cut up light brown papers into long grasses & antiqued them a bit & put them at the bottom of the card. That would be beautiful.
Don't worry about it being too much or too little. Think like an artist. See what kind of fibers you have or ribbons. Burlap, string from the garage. Things like that. Your doing great, don't give up....Have FUN!!

Yay, I'm glad they are on there way. I will let you know when it gets here. If you like, you can pm on the mediums you used for your cards & I can write them on the back for you. Sometimes the stamps don't come with a line for that. One of the stamps I'm using doesn't have a line either. SOooooo, I just put them around all 4 sides of the card, going around in a rectangle..

No worries girlfriend. Can't wait to see them:banana:

Buffy, I'm the same way. I worry constantly. One thing I know, though, is that once I actually get started, it usually works out or you can change it to satisfy yourself. It's unbelieveable how forgiving paper is!! You wouldn't think so because it's not flexible, etc, . You'll be fine once you start trying things.

I didn't get an ATC stamp for the back of the card. I got a stamp with a vintage type frame around it and was just going to write in the info. But, there are no lines or catagories or anything inside the window of the stamp. I figured the open stamp would be more versatile.

I'm going to have to add all that at the end, because I have no idea what I'm going to end up with once I get started....It always seems to change compared to my intentions!

The ones I've done previously have always been pretty sturdy, too, even though they've all been made with cardstock and stamping card (archival). Although, I often mat mine with a really narrow mat that doesn't take up much room.

My ready cut ones are archival - but if you look at them in 50 years and they've gone funny, PM me :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I finally figured out a couple of my topics...... Anything goes -J2 will be shoes and Vintage K1 will be a Love theme. I have a pic of my grandparents from the 40's before they were married, so that will be my inspiration. Still thingking about the boy groups.

got my new color printer up and running today, finally!!!

So I'm good to go again.

I also used the watercolor pencils for the first time, OMG love these!!!

I need some suggestions for Norway. Anybody have any?

opinions please!

Colored or sepia?

if I color they will be neater, this was just a test run.

BAMB, I love your cards!!!! I loke both. The color gives it an extra ummmpphh too. Either one. Great job!

those aren't the real deal. This is the 12x12 paper the girls came on. I cut them out by hand and will have a different background. I tried to use these as the cards but they were to big! LOL

I love the colour! I wouldn't try to colout the skin, but if you have water colour pencils they're dood for a subtle "make-up" - cheeks, lips.
