I here ya. The shipping is the killer too isn't it? So Mazda, would June or July be better for you for signups? I want to get a tally & see what is the best for everyone....

I'm having an issue with my India cards. I bought this really cool paper with elephants and tigers on them and they are a smidge to wide for the card to be vertical. So I have 2 options either turn the card horizontal or let the animal hang but I'm concerned they will tear.
Any suggestions??

Open (anything goes) I want to do an ocean one next time. I bought some gorgeous sea life clear stamps the other day..

Suprise(anything goes, don't tell anyone what it is,sssshhhhhh =)
Choose a State
Pirates(maybe skull & crossbones too)
School
Altered Playing Cards(any suit)
Kitchen or anything food, or cooking
Flowers
Anything to do with Nature (birds, bugs, trees)
Fashion
ABC
Anything wit a Postage Stamp on it
About Me(with a pic of you on it)
Scripture(for those who like that)

OK, those are my ideas for now. I can go on & on about them. I just LOVE it!

Well, you can either one. If you have the elepahant hanging, I would suggest to put a harder card stock behind that little area. They look great when they are hanging off. OR you can do it horizontal, that's fine too. Sure send me a pic & I can look at it. I will pm you my email addy...

Now for ABC, how would you do that one? Can this be a separate swap if we do the whole alphabet? Everyone gets 2 letters.

ATC's can be horizontal, too, right? Other people do them both ways. I would rather have it horizontal than hanging off the card.

I was thinking about doing one horizontally, too.

Yes, I have some nature ideas that I wanted to do the next time. I like the fashion idea, too. I have more in the themes I'm doing this time that I'd like to do again. Also, you could do vintage holidays for the major holidays like Christmas, Halloween, Easter, New Years. I would like maybe some open catagories about "life" for more of a visual philosophical life type them...Is that too deep? LOL!!

That isn't too deep at all... I like using verbage in my work as well. You absolutley can do them horizontally. I don't mind mine hanging off the page becaude most likely I'm going to put them in my carousel. I'd also like to do one on "Time". How life passes us by so quickley. I have stamps of clocks & such. We can do vintage holidays as well...

I'm happy with any date for sign-ups, but I'm going on vacation at the end of August. So either earlier (June) sign-ups and I mail before I go, or later (end july) sign-ups and I take them with me to play with and mail when we get back

Thank you thank you! I'm really excited about it. BAMB & I were thinking maybe to do the states a different swap. but I'm kind of anxious to do all of my ideas. Soooo, I was wondering what you all think?
Do you think I should include the states swap with my other groups?
For the states, it will be a group of 13. Actually, I'd like to make it 14 instead of 13. That way I can do two of AMERICA. So each person needs to choose two states that way we will all get the complete country.
If we are going to do them seperate, I was thinking one signup in June & the other in July.

I have the paper pack Nana's Kitchen. I am anxious to use that one for a swap. That's a great idead to take them with you on tour trip. Will you be coming to the states?

Sadly not this year! Once your $$ goes back dwon to 2 to a £ maybe we're going to Holland- -while there we will go to der Efteling - the theme park which inspired Walt to develop Disneyland!

Possible west coast trip next year (mind you, I said that last year)

I don't know if I would be doing the states or not at this point, though I'd love to do something around a Chicago theme. If I did do the states, I wouldn't sign up for them if they're with all the other groups because the others would take priority for me personally.
