Much talk in the company about a big, I mean REALLY BIG announcement from ATA on December 1st.
It seems that AirTran cannot/will not be able to negotiate as well as Phoenix based America West Airlines.
Consequently, much talk among the flight crews about the agreement and what it means for ATA and its employees.
Good news on another front for ATA: The State Of Indiana has provided ATA almost $16 Million in funding. This secures our tenuous present tense so that we may look more towards the future.
Speculation of the America West agreement is that they will be acquiring aircraft and some gates presently owned by ATA.
The final date for filing additional offers for ATA from America West is November 23rd. America West is reported to be in over-drive to meet the deadline...
