It is not blocked but I do not surf on company time and definitely do not post from work at all. I will read during a break or lunch time if I have time. They filter and watch us so I have to be careful - Big Brother is watching.

I suppose by that logic, every moment you spend not doing something directly related to productivity is cheating your employer. Do you spend an extra moment in the bathroom checking your hair or makeup? Do you stop to say "hi" to your coworker as you walk back to your desk?

Spending time on the internet (sites that are not block-worthy) is no different than hundreds of others ways people spend time not working while they are at work.
