When do you DIS at work?

Right now I'm on a conference call that is now in it's 3rd hour and I am DISsing while listening.

How about you?

When I go cross eyed from looking at numbers. Hmmmm....that's about every 5 minutes. Uh-oh!

I DIS in between phone calls and appointments. This is the best thing to get paid for ;o)

I DIS while waiting for queries to run or systems to load/retrieve things.

I DIS throughout the day when I have a free moment - sometimes when I am in between projects, sometimes when I am doing something that doesn't require a lot of thought, sometimes when I am waiting for something to process.

I probably shouldn't DIS at all at work. I treally interrupts my concentration - but I just can't help myself.

What a coincidence, I am on a conference call too. I'm wondering if they have ANY plans to break for lunch. This group of people rarely do -- I've been on with this same group of people in the past and its gone on until 3 pm with nothing more than individual bathroom breaks.

Whenever I get a free moment. Usually between projects and phone calls. I Dis more than I should, but it's a great mental break in the midst of a very stressful job. I don't usually Dis at home. Right now I don't even have Internet at home, but when we move next week, we should be hooked back up.

That's the advantage of working in the IT field...If I'm not on a project and nothing is broken, it's just a matter of monitoring the systems to make sure everything stays up...

In between reading legal documents. I can't DIS while on the phone, though, way too distracting. I DIS while travelling for work too.

I use it as a break, but I give myself time limits. They usually work.

Mine's mostly Microsoft Access, working with JD Edwards. We're adding business intelligence software this fall, so that should keep me busy.

Sometimes I wonder if these people just talk to hear themselves talk. Lots and lots of territorial pissing matches going on. I just went and put it on mute so I could pop some popcorn in the microwave, that gets to be my lunch because these fools won't shut up.
