At what price would you jump on a fare?

So, if you were planning on a trip to California (Disneyland of course), and were looking at airfares, at what price do you think you would just jump on an airfare just so that it doesn't go up?

I know United had the $999 fares, which were good, but I am still not keen to fly with them. V Aust have some at $1140, which I am thinking are totally jumpable (I am making that a word now, ok) :lmao:

What would be your price?

I would be tempted at the $1100 or lower mark. $1140 is getting close.

I almost had a heart attack!!!!LOL I didn't realize you were talking airfares from Australia. My advice was not more than $300 but I live a lot closer.

For $1140 i'd jump on it, i'd be stoked with anything under $1300 (depending on which airline ;))

If I knew what dates I wanted and found $1140 flights then I'd take them.

I'm with the other Bec, anything under the $1300 mark is usually fine.

Juuuummmmp!!! That's pretty good! You never know what going to happen, I was happy with anything under $1500! but ours is from Canberra, so we have an internal flight as well.

I would be jumping now!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I compare everything to our first trip in 2007 which was $2000 return

If it's doable I would be doing it, lol!!

After our Hawaii trip I'm now ready for another Disney fix. But even your cheap price x 5 is not going to happen anytime soon for us :sad1:

Here is hoping for $1100 to $1300 for August/September
Dreaming big I know most likely will be about $1600 mark
I can play the waiting game

Yes I agree lovintheland we paid $1999 in June 2008 best deal we got was $1050 in November 2010

Gosh, what do you think I'll be looking at for 9 December flights? I'm worried because we've been fairly lucky in the past with flights but December is a whole different kettle of fish

Traditionally the fares have always increased on or around the 10th Dec. Looks like they will do the same this year looking at QF projected fares.

Until 2008 I would have jumped on anything around the 2000.00pp mark. Our past 4 trips have ranged from 1150.00 - 1600.00pp

Now I'm hoping to do a trip in late Jan and I'd be happy with anything under 1500.00 (around 1200.00 would be ideal)

I always fly Qantas but will be looking at V as well this time around.

Hahaha, yes you know I do K. I am sitting here with the FC invoice in my inbox as we speak, to-ing and fro-ing as to whether or not to pay it LOL

vaustralia fares are currently sitting around the 1900 mark for our nov/dec trip.

last year we waited til like.. sept.. then jumped on 1300 promo fare return flights bne - lax.

if i could find those again, or even 1900 for PE then i would jump on it.. until then, playing the waiting game

Alicia I don't think I could hold out until September. I wish I could but I'm too much of a nervous nellie and would want the tickets in my hot little hand (so to speak) by then. Hmmm I think I could hold out to July/perhaps August, I guess September isn't much after that :rotfl:

ms shuttergirl - i know what you mean as i too am a nervous nellie when it comes to paying for flights -- but i head in the opposite direction -- i'm scared of buying too early and then they release some kind of promo fare where i could have saved $1000 or some such, which is why i leave it to a later date -- but now you have me thinking i'd be better off booking earlier in case the flight we want on the dates we want sell out... although that's never happened before :scared1:

Qantas Grand Prix sale fares Melbourne to LAX are $1299 return and I am very tempted...

Depressing though once I add in the internal flights (LAX to Orlando, Orlando to Washington then NY to LAX) it just keeps adding up $$$
