At what point do you mention your DDE card?

Do you just pull it out when the bill comes or do you have to mention it when the server takes your order?

I pull mine out when the check arrives .. and give it to the server with my room key. They redo the check and when it returns, the 20% discount is on the bill.

I too took out the DDE card when the bill came, never had a problem...

We used ours the very first time during our October trip. The first meal I mentioned it to the server when he first came to the table. He said thanks, but the DDE is adjusted when the bill is presented. So thereafter, we just presented the card when we paid the bill.

The first few times I mentioned the DDE when ordering, but that only seemed to confuse the servers (who then tried to figure out if we were on dining plan). So now I just wait until the bill comes and then put the DDE on top with my room key or credit card underneath. We didn't have a single problem doing that.

I was "snubbed" twice for not telling them about DDE before the bill came. Once at Chef Mickey's and once at 50's Prime Time. The servers were kind of rude when I presented the DDE and hinted that I should have told them before. So, not really sure if it depends on the restaurant or just that the server doesn't want the hassle??

We have had the DDE for almost 2 years now...LOVE IT!

I find it works best for CM's if you know you are toward the end of your meal and you place it on the table in clear view. That way, they make one trip to prepare your bill. Kinda helps them and you as a time saver really.

Blessings,
Winnie

I keep seeing that this DDE card will give you a 20% discount on most meals...is this table service meals, counter service...Please explain and tell me how I can get one. I cant believe that I missed this last year!

I usually pull it out now before the bill comes - I used to do it before the meal started, but it is fine to put it with your credit card also when paying.

You must have an AP and then pay an additional $60 to get a discount card.

*Moron Question Alert* - ummm, what is DDE and how is it different from the Dining Plan or is it the same thing. If it is different, which is better? Is there a link or site that gives details.

Thanks! :disrocks:

OK, this is what happens when we are all typing at the same time. I am assuming this is a discount card seperate from the dining plan that you must have an Annual Pass to get and pay a fee.

OK, since I live in California and go to The World once every other year - this is a moot point for me. Thanks!
