At what point do they cancel the luau?

when will the actually cancel the luau? They are serving us food, but there is no show due to the thunderstorm. They say the show is delayed, but this storm doesn't seem to be passing any time soon. How long do we wait?

If you are eating, I doubt you can cancel. I would see if you can get a partial refund on the price if you don't get the entertainment part.

I would ask for a total refund. The point of this event is the show. OP- what happened last night? Can you update?

There was lightning in the area last night. We had the 815 show, and we were let in and fed on time. They came out and did part of the show a bit after 9, then came out again around 10 and did more if it. They did not do the full show, it was just bits and pieces (they story didn't make sense, because they cut so much out). The ended the show around 1030. I feel like it was a total waste of money

If it makes you feel better, when I saw the show, I saw it in its entirety and I still don't think it made much sense LOL

But I would definitely speak to someone in Guest Services about SOME type of partial compensation ... it's nonsense that you pay full price for a ticket to see a portion of the experience.

1) USUALLY, if the show is to be canceled, it is done so by 1/2-hr prior to show-time.
. . . temps at or below 40ºf; if the temps are "diving" they can cancel as early as 4:00pm
. . . moderate or heavier rain
2) When this happens,
. . . they refund the purchase price by the method paid (cash, credit card, DDP credits, etc)
. . . they do not provide alternate dinner locations or ADR's, you are on your own or you can try the Concierge
3) If the meal has begun and the show is canceled, there is usually no refund, as you can still eat.
