im booked for an ocean view room this fall and want to be sure that I request a room where it's above the tree line (so I can actually see the ocean). So at what floor do trees stop?

The tree line is actually pretty tall. I'd say you need to be on at least the 8th floor. I'll see if I can find one of my pictures so you can see this.

This was 5th floor almost 2 years ago so they might have grown. You would probaby want at least 7 maybe 8.

I was on 6 in Ewa wing last month and had a good view. Of course, I don't know how you define good view. image.jpeg

Its not only the altitude that is important as we were recently at Aulani for a 10-day stay in a 1-bedroom ocean view on the eigth floor. Unfortunately it was origianally booked on the outside of the building and our view was predominately the 4-seasons hotel and parking structure. I think our room was #807 and technically the ocean was visible so they labeled this as an ocean view room, but it was not the greatest.

Upon checkin we requested to be in a room on the pool side and the only way they could accomodate us was to stay in the orginal room for the first night, then move to the Ewa tower the second, and would have to check out and re-checkin the second day, but they waived the cleaning fee. We took them up on their offer and was moved to #1152 which had a great view. Make sure to request a room on the inside, or pool side would be my advice.

Thank you so much! Good info!
