My son also. Letter recognition at 18 months. My daughter is almost two and she has learned the alphabet, but not letter recognition.

Yeah? Well MY! child came out of the womb being able to recognize all letters and had the Declaration of Independence memorized.
In truth, it was much later, my 4YO still misses some.
My oldest DD was probably 5 before she knew them all and has always been a straight A student.
